Use of pen or pencil

Typically, in an Omr Sheet, one can either use a pen or Pencil. While some examination committees specify whether they want the candidates to use either a pen or a pencil, some leave it to the decision of the candidates. However, there are some rules that you have to use when it comes to pen or pencil you use to fill the OMR sheet. Here are some of the things that you must remember for the use of pen or pencil on the OMR sheet.

Use of pen

In case of pen, one must use either a black or blue ball-point pen. If you are asked to use a specific ball-pen, make sure that you use the one that is recommended by the committee. No other color should be used. Some exam committees allow the use of gel pen; however, ensure that it dries out properly. However, if you have been provided with a two-sided OMR sheet, it is best not to use the gel pen. Moreover, in no case should you use an ink pen as it has high chances of blotting or spilling which will spoil your paper. Also, remember not to darken the bubbles repeatedly, as it may cause the ink to seep into the other side of the paper.

Use of pencil

If the examination committee asks you to use a pencil, you must always use an HB pencil. This is because it is important to create dark mark on the bubbles which you may not be able to do with a normal pencil. You must buy HB pencil of two or three brands. Check them before you go for your exam and use the one which is the darkest.

Remembering these things about the use of pen or pencil on the OMR sheet will ensure that you will not face any problems while filling the answer sheet.
