Software Testing are the processes by which application quality is improved. Software testing is done after each phase of software development life cycle (SDLC) i.e from requirement specifications , design, coding, to the user acceptance. Today many complex software structures are being build that required, the depth analytical and technical skills to test the applications. Knowledge of programming languages and scripting skill are also essential for Automation testing.

Selenium is an Open source and Portable Software Testing framework for testing. It provides a record & playback tool for writing test without learning a test scripting language. Selenium allows functional testing for both web and desktop applications. Selenium testing is just not only a single tool but it is a suite of different tools such as Selenium IDE, Selenium Web Driver, Selenium Remote Control (RC), Selenium Grid. It supports different languages like Ruby, Java, C#, python, Perl to create test that can run on Windows, Linux and Mac platforms.

UIAutomator is the user-interface (UI) testing tool of the android native app and games. UIAutomator tool is designed by Google that provide advance UI testing platform. It has the GUI tool which can scan and analyse the UI component of an android mobile. It also has the Java libraries containing API to write test cases for the functions within the UI for automation & execution of engine to run the test. This is the wonderful tool for testing the UI of android device. Advantage of UIAutomator is that it can use on any resolution and can run multiple times on different-different devices without changing code.

It is a 100% Java Application based Open Source Software Testing Tool for load and performance testing. Test can be performing in JMeter in both static and dynamic resource. It is used to trigger heavy load on network to test its strength. It supports many web server type, namely HTTP, HTTPs, SOAP, JDBC and POP etc.

5. HP LoadRunner

LoadRunner is a Performance Testing Tool by Hewlett Packard Enterprise to test the Software system behavior, application and the performance under load. It is very useful in understanding and determining the performance of an application under high traffic. Testing with Hp LoadRunner can hold thousands of users at same time. Windows and Linux are the OS for this measuring tool. HP has started offering new version of LoadRunner in cloud as on-demand service from their SaaS Platform. Load Runner is created on ANSI C programming language but also supports Java and .Net programs. Current version 12.53 of HP LoadRunner released was in May, 2016 which also supports the Win 10.
