The Ims Lead Developer will have a dual role as a hands-on developer while also providing technical oversight for the NJBPU’s Information Management System (IMS). This position will be based out of New Brunswick, NJ and we are seeking local candidates only.
Key Responsibility
Overall accountability for the quality and reliability of IMS and all associated production processes
· Lead Development team through all phases of the product life cycle, including technical specifications, requirements analysis, software design and development, testing (unit, functional, systems), integration, deployment, and maintenance
· Responsible for team adherence to design, coding and documentation standards
· Cross discipline developer capable of assisting development team in all aspects of software development
· Grasp design concepts and assimilate business knowledge with relative ease
· Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal team and external partners/clients
· Responsible for writing and maintaining code, in addition to being the technical lead for 3 - 5 developers
· Work effectively in a team environment, exchanging ideas, building consensus, and mentoring others where needed
· Resourceful and innovative, with the ability to quickly and creatively develop solutions to complex business problems, while also providing direction and leadership for the team
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in computer/technology-related field
· Experience leading design, development, testing and implementation of web solution components and modules in an agile environment
· Demonstrates a cooperative spirit collaborating with other scrum team members to foster an innovative, problem solving environment
· Demonstrated experience with
o Java/Spring Core/MVC (5+ years)
o Hibernate (3+ years)
o Tomcat or similar server (3+ years)
o Quartz Scheduler (2+ years)
o Web Development (JSP, JavaScript, JQuery, Angular JS, HTML5/CSS) (5+ years)
o Excel reports and macros (3+ years)
o PDF Writers (2+ years)
o Oracle 12c SQL, PL/SQL (3+ years)
o Test Driven Development
o Object Oriented Design
o coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and use of distributed source control
o consuming RESTful web services
o relational databases
