OnPrintShop Version 10.1

Admin Section Features

1. Email Notification Enhancement

  • As of now there is only one common email template for all the orders, order product, and quote statuses, there were no options to create different email templates for the different statuses.
  • In this version, we have given this option in the Email/SMS Notification by introducing two new tabs “Order Status Email” and “Quote Status Email”.
    • From these customers can be able to overwrite the email template and sender/receiver email address, and also, they can manage the Notify option for both customer and admin from the same interface.
  • We have also enhanced the email/SMS notification’s user interface (UI) to improve user navigation.

2. Preview Image Setting

  • Currently, the preview image DPI setting is based on the product, and the product contains multiple sizes, so the admin needs to set the common DPI for all the sizes of that particular product.
  • So, in this version we have moved the preview image setting from the product setting to the studio setting.
    • In that we have created a new page from which admin will be able to set the Preview Image DPI based on size, it will be applicable for all the products of the particular size.

3. Country Restriction

  • Manage Site Access
    • Currently, admins are unable to select to allow or block access to a site from an individual country’s IP address, Now, we will add the new section “Country Based IP Management” in the “Manage site access” interface. From there, the admin can select multiple countries to either allow or block access to the site.
  • Default Store
    • At the moment, it is not possible for the admin to enable certain countries for any store but not for the default store. To rectify this, we restricted the country for the default store.
    • As a result, admins will now be able to specify if they want specific countries only for specific stores and not for the default store.

4. Job Board for Workflow Admin

  • The dashboard for the job board was previously only accessible to admin roles. With this version, it will also be accessible to workflow admins.
  • The same features available to other admin roles will be available to workflow admins, including three view preferences: summary, grid, and list view. They have access to the settings as well.

5. Template Category – Metatag Enhancement

  • To update the meta information for the template admin needs to go to each template and update the meta information.
  • To address this, in this version, we have added a common interface from which the admin can be able to update the meta information.
    • Now, from the “Page title, keyword setting” SEO section, the admin can be able to select the “Template Category” section and add the meta information.

6. Dynamic Help Template Generator

  • To update the meta information for the template admin needs to go to each template and update the meta information.
  • In this version, we have made the following enhancement in the dynamic help template:
    • Dynamic Help Template Content:
      • Now, we have given an option to the admin to upload the file from the “Fixed Content” section under content management to change the dynamic template content.
      • Dynamic template content can be changed language-wise, and the file format needs to be PDF, JPEG, JPG, and PNG.
    • Fold Line and Product Information:
      • In the dynamic help template we have added product information like cut size and artwork bleed.
      • Also, the fold line is added in the dynamic help template, the fold line will be displayed if it is configured in the product.

7. New Minor Features & Enhancement

  • Quote Enhancement
    • Quote Email Template Enhancement: In this version, we have added some Product, shipping, and tax-related variables in the following Email templates.
      • PDF quote print download
      • Printer update quote status
      • Quote Email Template
    • Create Quote Enhancement: In this release, we have made the following enhancements in the create quote section.
      • Product Type: Now, the admin can configure the default product type existing or custom while creating a quote.
      • Quantity: Currently, quotes for existing product types can only be made for a single quantity.
  • Now, we’ve added the ability to create quotes for multiple quantities using additional quantity fields.
    • Quote Listing and View Enhancement
      • Offline Quote: If an existing product vendor price is available, it will be prefilled while creating an offline quotation, and the admin will be able to modify the vendor price.
      • Tax Price: Now, if the tax price is available for any existing products, it will be shown on the quote list and quote detailed page.
  • Product list in product option: In this version, we introduced a help icon next to the product option’s title, from which the admin can view a list of the products that are assigned to that specific product option, using the product link, admin can redirect to the particular product option.
  • Export Order File format: If the “Export Format” setting in the Export API section is set to JSON, the admin can be able to export the order file in JSON format.
  • Guest customer registration enhancement: Now, when the guest customer registers as a website customer the authorization (verification) mail will mandatorily be sent to the customer.
  • Country and State searchable dropdown: Now, we have added a search box in the country, and state dropdown for both front customer and admin.
  • Restore address setting for public store: Now, the franchisee and reseller store admin can restore the default store address setting from the store configuration.
  • External Service enhancement for private store: Now, the private store admin can be able to view all active service lists which are not overwritten by the store admin, and able to disable particular services from the external service configuration tab.
  • Download multiple quotes: Now, the admin can be able to download multiple quotes from the quote listing action.
  • Workflow Admin enhancement: Now, workflow admins will have the same option as super admins to download multiple order files from the order listing action section.

Front–Store Features

8. Search Enhancement

  • In this version, we have enhanced the front-side search and changed the UI of the admin search.
  • As of now, on the front search if the search text is not exactly matched then the result will not appear, for a better search experience we have added the fuzzy search.
    • Using fuzzy search if the search text is closely matched then the result will appear, and from the site setting, the admin can configure the section like Product or Template or both that needs to be searched.
  • On the admin side, we have changed the dropdown search to the tabbing view.
    • As per the existing search feature, when the admin searched for anything, the system was redirected to the specific section. For example, to search for any order details, the admin needed to select Order from the dropdown menu and then search the order number in the search bar and they will be redirected to that order numbers detail page.
    • Now, when the admin will start entering the characters in the search bar, the result will be displayed in the pop-up. The first half section will display the results from the admin panel menu and in the below the results will be displayed from the three sections – “Orders”, “Customers”, and “Products”.

9. Front Page UI Enhancement

  • In this version, we made the following enhancement on the front store for a better user interface.
    • Mobile Responsive: We have enhanced the mobile responsiveness of the browse design, and my account pages like order listing, images, order details, quote listing, quote details, QR code page, and templates pages.
    • Upload Page: To enhance the user experience and usability for the consumers, we enhanced the UI of the upload page.
    • Product Menu: In this version, the CMS section has been added to the product listing so that the admin may add any necessary content below the product listing block in the menu.
    • Cart Page: We enhanced the cart page’s user interface and added blocks for the item summary and payment summary on the right side. Now, if a customer wants to view an item that has been added to their cart, they may do so on the right side.

10. New Minor Features & Enhancement

  • Added a captcha on the payment method: Now, we have added a captcha for the online payment method, after failed payment attempts.
  • Chat Enhancement: Now, the most recent order number and status as well as basic personal information like name and email address will be displayed in the chat window.
  • Meta tag product-wise enhancement: If the same meta tag name is available for a product- or content-specific, the default Meta tag will be overwritten.
  • Display SKU on product info and additional info page: Now, Product SKU will be displayed in the price summary in the product info and additional info page.
  • Display department name on profile: In this version, store customers can see their department name in their profile.
  • My Images enhancement: We have implemented the below enhancement in the “My Images” section.
    • Filter: Now, in the “My Image” section “Stock Image” filter is available.
    • Image Album: Customers can now delete the album which has the image, and all of the images in that specific album will be removed.
  • Order feedback enable/disable: In this version, the admin can manage the order feedback option in the order detail page from the site setting.
  • Product URL Enhancement: Currently, the URL field in the product add/edit interface is unique to the entire site. For example, if the URL is set to “product” in one store, it cannot be set to “product” in any other store for any other product.
    • As a result, we have enhanced the URL field and it will now be specific to a particular store. So, if the URL “product” is set for one product in one store and the other store does not have that product, the URL may now be “product”.
  • Order success page Enhancement: There were several predefined variables on the order success page, but the admin wants the variable like first name, last name, and email address.
    • So, in this version, we introduced the above three variables. The admin can manage variables according to their requirements.

Product Section Features

11. Mass Personalization Enhancement for Label Products

  • In mass personalization, the customer needs to upload the XLS file, if there is less data then there is a long process of downloading the sample and adding the data, and uploading the same.
  • Now, we have introduced a form-fill option, from which these customers will have the ability to add data manually.
    • For this, we modified the “Mass Personalization” setting in the product settings, where admin may specify which options they wish to provide to customers—only XLS upload, only form fill, or both—by changing the setting.

12. Duplicate Product Settings New

  • If the admin wants the same settings for multiple products, then they need to go to a single product and configure the particular settings.
  • To address this, in this release we included a “Duplicate Setting” option to the product settings, allowing admins to replicate all or particular settings to multiple products.
    • The list of products will be based on the same product type as the particular that is selected.

13. Proofing Tool Enhancement

  • Currently, the proofing tool option is only available in standard products, from now onward the “Photobook” products will also have access to this functionality.
    • In the photobook product, now visual proofing option will be available in the modify design option from the view/update order.
    • In addition, the proofing tool option will have the same album page panel option, just as the designer studio.
    • Admin will be able to see all the comments and make the changes the same as the standard products.

14. Product Option and Option Rules Enhancement

  • In this release, we have made enhancements to the product option and product option rules.
    • Product Option: As of now, the multiple options of Upload files, and Hire a Designer is not available in the product option, but available in the additional option, now, we have added the same in the product options.
    • Product Option Rule: If the admin wants to create the product option rule for the multiple size, so as of now they want to create the same product option rule for the multiple time.
      • To address this, we improved the product option rule; now, when generating the product option rule, a multiple selection dropdown will appear at the position of size selection.
      • In the rule description of the product option rule page, we have included a title like “Size, Quantity, and Hide Option” for better readability.

15. New Minor Features & Enhancement

  • Visual calculator enhancement: Admin may now modify the “Visual price calculator label” to appear “up and down, and side by side” from the “Product page layout” section.
  • Book Product enhancement: The restricted quantity setting for the color and black-and-white pages will now be available for the book products.
    • Now, the admin can set the interval for the book product pages for both color and B/W pages, for instance, if the value is set to 2, then the values for the B/W and color pages must both be multiples of 2 (e.g., 4, 6, 8, 10) and so on.
  • Product detail image view enhancement: Now, an admin can select whether to display thumb images vertically or horizontally from the site configuration.

Order Section Features

16. Production Due date for admin

  • The admin can only be able to view or modify the entire order due date, there is no option for the admin to edit or view the production due date in the order section.
  • In this version, we have introduced “Production Due Date” on the order product level.
    • Now, the admin can be able to view and modify the production due date order product level as well as order level.
    • If the admin modifies the production due date on the order product level then based on that order level production due date and order due date will calculate automatically.

17. Default Order Product Status New

  • For the different types of products and different types of order flow all may need different order product statuses when the order is placed, as of now there is no option for the admin to set the default order product status based on the product types and order flow.
  • In this version, we have introduced the “Default Order Product Status” section in the order status.
    • From Where the admin can set the order product status default based on the product, product type (such as Standard Product, Predefined Product, etc.), and order flow (such as Upload Design, Designer Studio, Offline Order, etc.).

18. Packing Slip New

  • In this version, we included an option to generate and download packing slips under the order action and order shipment sections.
  • If created from the order action, the packing slip will have the option to enter the box count and can be generated based on the created shipment.
  • In addition, we have created the email template with the required variable.

19. New Minor Features & Enhancement

  • PO Number enhancement: Now, the approval admin or external approver can enter or update a PO number.
  • Order listing filter enhancement: We made the following enhancements to the order listing filter.
    • “Shipping Method” has been added to the order listing filter.
    • A placeholder for the checkbox drop-down has been added to the filter when no items are selected.
  • Inventory request enhancement: Now, the customer shipping address and phone number will be carried forward to the inventory request.
  • Update order product and template information: Added product and template information in the respective product and template can be carried forward to the order and admin can be able to modify that information.
  • Branch Address: Now, while adding Branch there will be an option to add an address, and that address will be used in the order for local pickup.
  • Offline Order status enhancement: For selecting the default order product state when submitting an offline order, only the proofing status was available. However, the admin may now view all the order product statuses that have been added.

Designer Studio Section Features

20. Page-wise size Configuration New

  • As of now, the admin has no feasibility to set the different sizes for the different pages on a single product.
  • For instance, the envelope product inner page and the cover page size can differ, and the admin cannot be able to set the size differently for these different pages for the designer studio and print-ready files.
  • Now, in this version we have given an interface from where the admin can be able to set the size for different pages for the standard products.

21. Text color Enhancement

  • In this version, in the designer’s studio, the text font color will be black or white based on the canvas background’s light or dark color.
  • For instance, if the added text color is black and the canvas background color is black, the text would not appear properly. To address this, we developed an enhancement, and the text color will now be changed automatically to white.

22. New Minor Features & Enhancement

  • Clipart enhancement: In this release, we have made the following enhancement in Clipart.
    • No image found: Now, the clipart and background will be replaced with a “No Image” placeholder if the clipart or background object is not found.
    • Replace Clipart: The added clipart in the canvas may now be replaced with any clipart from the left panel using the replace option or drag and drop in the clipart.
    • Clipart Preview: Now, a clipart preview will be generated with CMYK color using a dynamic path.
  • Photobook page count: Now, we will check the page count of the photobook product on the save and continue the action.
    • For instance, if the add sheet count is two and the total number of pages saved does not match with multiply with two, the save will fail.
  • Replace image enhancement: Admin may now select which tab should be the default for “Replace Image”: “Upload” or “Gallery” from the studio setting.
  • Canvas selection using TAB key: Now, in the designer studio canvas, single or group objects can be selected using the TAB key.

Third-Party Features

23. Picsart API Integration New

  • In this version, we have integrated Picsart background removal API and upscale API.
    • Remove Background – This API will detect the foreground object and auto-remove the background. This will only work for images with PNG and JPG extensions.
    • Upscale – Based on the upscale factor it will increase the image resolution. This will only work with PNG images.

24. 4over Integration

  • In this release, we have integrated the OnPrintShop store with 4over API. We have integrated the following between the two platforms –
    • Admin can sync/import product and product price, Transfer Order, Order Status Update, Import 4over order, and Import 4over ship to address.
    • Personalize the product with what and how to display the 4over product on the front side.
    • Ability to add the shipping markup and view all the 4over logs in the log report section.

25. QuickBooks Enhancement

  • Now, Admin will be able to map products based on Product ID and Product SKU, and also able to view the mapped OPS product and QuickBooks Product.

26. New Minor Features & Enhancement

  • Due date calculation while Transit Time API is enabled: When Transit Time API is enabled, the shipping due date will be calculated considering the non-business days (holidays and weekly offs)
  • FedEx API update: In this version, we have upgraded with the FedEx latest version of API. By default, it will be installed in the OnPrintShop, with disabled status.
  • UPS API update: In this version, we have upgraded the UPS API with the Rest API.
  • Captcha enhancement: For security, we have added the captcha in the forgot password section for both admin and front store customers.

Solution Core Changes

  • Page Optimization
    • Products & shopping cart/checkout page: In this version, the cart data that hasn’t changed after editing the cart will be taken from cache data for a specific period of time, which will speed up page loading.
    • Price Calculator: In this version, we have optimized the Price calculator, and loaded using AJAX base for better performance, and page speed.
    • JS and CSS: In this release, we have merged and removed some unwanted JS and CSS, also we have minified the JS and CSS for better performance.
    • Optimized all the other pages: We have optimized all the pages for a quick load of the page.
  • PHP serialize to JSON: Now, we have converted the serialized data to JSON throughout the solution.
  • Optimized mailing date picker: The selected mailing date is now displayed in the format YYYY-MM-DD in the date selection.
    • Mailing date will be displayed in the system date format except for the date picker.
  • Email/SMS Notification Code Optimization: In this version, we have optimized the Email/SMS notification code, as a result, the notification content will no longer be prepared if the notification flag is not enabled.
    • From this, only notifications which are enabled that content will be prepared and loaded.
  • Lazy load optimization: In this release, we have removed lazy load external JS, and CSS and will use lazy load using a browser.
  • Restrict Direct Access of Pdf, Xls, and Csv using URL: Currently, all of the XLS, PDF, and CSV files of the solution are available via a URL; however, we have now restricted that access so that the files may only be accessed using a signed URL.
  • Optimized Ajax Call: In this version, we have optimized or removed some Ajax call from the common event to quickly load pages.
  • Database storage optimization: Now, we have changed the studio data storage from database to file-based to reduce the load from the database, and to reduce the load time for all the template-related pages.
