With the imminent commencement of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, Sony India has unveiled a special bundle for all the cricket enthusiasts. The ongoing battle between Sony and Microsoft in the console wars continues, as the ninth-generation gaming consoles strive to emerge as the top contender in the market. Both Sony and Microsoft frequently introduce exclusive offers and bundles, comprising games, accessories, and more, to entice new gamers. This time, Sony India has chosen to capitalize on the excitement surrounding the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup being held in India, and in light of this, they have introduced a new PS5 bundle featuring a thrilling cricket game for the console – Cricket 24.

PS5 bundle: In-depth description

As stated in an official announcement, PlayStation India has declared, “PlayStation India is pleased to introduce the PS5 Cricket24 Bundle, which encompasses the most immersive cricket video game simulation ever witnessed, developed by Big Ant Studios. To enhance and personalize the gaming experience, the game will feature professional Indian T20 teams playing for the first time in more than fifty officially licensed stadiums.”

Although details such as the release date and price of the PS5 Cricket 24 bundle remain undisclosed, the bundle itself will include Cricket 24, the latest cricket game from Australian game developer Big Ant Studios. It is planned as a successor to Cricket 22, which was launched in 2021.

This recent announcement follows Sony India’s unveiling of the PS5 EA Sports FC 24 bundle, which features the upcoming football simulation game by EA Sports. This bundle has been introduced at an introductory price of Rs. 48190, allowing buyers to save up to Rs. 11200. It will comprise the PlayStation 5 Disc Edition and the EA Sports FC 24 game. The PS5 Cricket 24 bundle is anticipated to be priced similarly.

Bing Ant Studios has disclosed that Cricket 24 will incorporate various teams and nations from around the world, rendering it the most comprehensive cricket video game simulation to date. Cricket 24 will showcase over 200 licensed players using full photogrammetry technology. Additionally, it will feature an array of tournaments such as The Ashes, the KFC BBL and Weber WBBL, The Hundred, the Caribbean Premier League, and the Pakistan Super League, along with multiple, yet-to-be-revealed Indian Premier League teams. The game will also encompass The Ashes, which is a historic test cricket series played biennially between England and Australia, alongside a dedicated Career Mode and cross-platform multiplayer functionality.

The game is scheduled to launch on October 5 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC platforms.
