We are looking for a Senior Copywriter

We’re looking for a Senior Copywriter who can translate complicated narratives into sweet, simple stories. This role will collaborate primarily with the in-house video and presentation teams, as well as our Marketing, sales, and executive teams. The role is based out of our offices in Alpharetta, Georgia and will report to our VP of Marketing.

Requirements

Ideal candidates would have relevant experience with enterprise software companies:

  • 3+ years of B2B / enterprise software / SaaS content marketing and editorial experience in-house or through several client engagements at a content marketing consulting firm.
  • 3+ years of experience managing complex content and design projects.
  • Track record of (client) content marketing engagements (e.g. 10x Content Pillar Pages) that led to significant improvement in various awareness, lead, and revenue generation KPIs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a portfolio that clearly demonstrates expertise.
  • Expert understanding of writing mechanics and English Grammar
  • Familiarity with best practices, trends, and styles in writing for film
  • Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what B2B audiences consume and how to create it
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee the production of quality material and meet production deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, or relevant field preferred.

Responsibilities:

Big Picture:
You will be a dedicated writer for our robust in-house marketing team. We need copy for the web site, landing pages, blog posts, outreach copy (email and social), scripts for videos, narratives for virtual events, and high visibility presentation work as it comes along.

This role requires a command of the art of scriptwriting. This means understanding how the final asset might bring your ideas to life, and an opinion about what to show, what to tell, and how these components play together to tell one cohesive story. You should understand how to unearth a story and keep it focused.

We also ask that you are comfortable working with various executives simultaneously. We’ll need you to be able to estimate your own capacity, prioritize objectives, and handle a broad spectrum of personalities and demands.

Finally, the role requires thinking strategically about the business — as well as the ability to ideate, iterate and pivot as needed to springboard from concept to content swiftly.

Day to Day:

  • Distill complex concepts into digestible, compelling narratives
  • Write copy mapped to business objectives, key announcements, and events for multiple distinct audience segments and campaign programs, which includes whitepapers, articles, press releases and customer stories.
  • Work with designers to create content that feels less like bulleted slides and more like a cohesive experience
  • Rewrite jargon and product messaging to include moments of delight
  • Incorporate feedback quickly, be able to stand up for good ideas, but also willing to kill your darlings
  • Author and edit strategic content assets from reports and e-books to website and email copy
  • Adapt long form content into presentations, infographics, and other supporting content
  • Manage the weekly project lists and partnerships (interfacing with contract writers, creative agencies, technical and subject matter experts, and more)
  • Collaborate with internal teams and subject matter experts to develop an evolving inventory of content across channels and secure stakeholder buy-in as needed
  • Edit, proofread, and improve content written by others
  • Ensure all content is optimized for search and user experience for all channels, including online, social media, email, mobile, video, print and webinars.
  • Bring an analytical mindset to copywriting – measure the persuasive effectiveness of your copy, experiment with variations and relentlessly improve the quality of the copy from the perspective of relevant engagement KPIs (time on page, conversion rate, etc.)
