“delete c:\windows\system32\config\security” 

“delete c:\windows\system32\config\default” 

“copy c:\windows\repair\system c:\windows\system32\config\system” 

“copy c:\windows\repair\software c:\windows\system32\config\software” 

“copy c:\windows\repair\sam c:\windows\system32\config\Sam” 

“copy c:\windows\repair\security c:\windows\system32\config\security”

“copy c:\windows\repair\default c:\windows\system32\config\default” 

  • Now, click on the ‘Exit’ and remove the CD from the drive. 
  • Click on the ‘Enter’ for once and choose the option of ‘Restart’ 
  • Repeatedly click on the ‘F8’ key and start the system in Safe Mode. 
  • Once it restarts, open the ‘My Computer’ 
  • Navigate towards the ‘Tools’, click on it, and select the ‘Folder Options’ from the menu. 
  • Locate the ‘View’ tab, select the option of ‘Show hidden files and folders’, and click on the ‘Hide protected system files’. 
  • Click on the ‘Yes’ to confirm and go back to ‘My Computer’. 
  • Move to the ‘C:\ drive’ and select ‘System Volume Information’ folder.
  • Exit from the folder and restart your system. 
  • Head to the ‘System Restore’ click on the ‘Restore’. 

Fix 3:

Update Windows
