A few days back Google launched a new program called “Shopping Action” that offers a universal cart to the users to add and purchase products from a variety of retailers, with a single checkout.
The program features Google Assistant, Google search results and Google Shopping Express. With Google voice assistant users can now place a quick voice order and with Google express they can explore a range of top retailers.
Most of the Mobile App Development Companies in USA have included this program in their services. With this program, Google has also cut down the number of clicks to purchase and made shopping easier for the online shoppers.
No matter whether the users shop on mobile, desktop or via a voice-powered device. One other major reason behind the creation of this plan is to compete with Amazon.
However, it is not being stated by Google yet, it is just an assumption which is spreading among the people since they have got to know that Google has launched a new program called “Shopping Actions”.
Statics say most of the users who search for the respective products on Google, generally end their search with the purchase on Amazon. People are assuming that Google has created this single shopping solution program to change this trend.
A blog post late on the day of launch by Google stated, “Shopping Actions’ uses a pay-per-sale model, meaning you only pay when a sale actually takes place. ‘Shopping Actions’ appear within the sponsored ‘Shopping Unit’ on the Google Search page and on Google.com/Shopping”.
Google also stated, “We have taken a fundamentally different approach from the likes of Amazon because we see ourselves as an enabler of retail,”. Daniel Alegre, Google’s president for retail and shopping, said: “We see ourselves as part of a solution for retailers to be able to drive better transactions and get closer to the consumer.”
As per the Google records and various Top Mobile App Development Services, the mobile searches for ‘where to buy’ have been increased by 75% from past few years. And, a Maximum number of shopping-related searches are being drawn to Amazon.
Shopping Actions program will make Google another route for the shoppers and retailers. Google’s Shopping Actions will give a tough competition to Amazon but, only time can tell who wins in this competition. Till then we can continue with our assumptions.
