The Southern California Monte Jade (SCMJ) Science & Technology Association and Spokeo recently hosted the ”AI and Me Conference,” which brought together renowned experts in the fields of AI, Technology and Academic fields to share their knowledge and experiences. 

The conference catered to both seasoned professionals and those new to the field, providing a valuable opportunity to gain insights into the future of AI.  The sessions covered the latest advancements in AI technology and its impact on various industries, including healthcare, finance, and more.

Harrison Tang

Harrison is also a well known thought leader in the data and technology industries. He has been interviewed by the Wall Street Journal, Consumer Reports, LA Times and he has spoken at CES, Datacon LA and the Marketing Analytics and Data Science conferences. 

Harrison immigrated from Taiwan to the Silicon Valley at the age of 13 and currently resides in Arcadia with his wife and 4 young sons. He attended Stanford University, where he earned Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Electrical Engineering, as well as a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 2005.

Ming-Hsuan Yang
Professor at UC Merced and Google Research

Ming-Hsuan Yang, an Assistant Professor at UC Merced since 2008, earned his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has contributed significantly to computer science, previously working as a Research Scientist at Google Research and affiliating with Nvidia and Honda Research.

Specializing in computer vision and machine learning, Dr. Yang has served as an Area Chair for esteemed conferences, including IEEE CVPR and ICCV. He was an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence and currently holds editorial roles for Image and Vision Computing and the Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research.

Recognized with the Google Faculty Award in 2009 and the UC Merced Senate’s Distinguished Early Career Research Award in 2011, Dr. Yang received the Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) award from the National Science Foundation in 2012. A Senior Member of the IEEE and the ACM, he continues to make impactful contributions, shaping the realms of image and pattern analysis.
