According to a study reported in The Atlantic, heterosexual Women are cheating 40% more now than they did in the 1990s. It’s undeniably easier for people of both sexes to cheat these days thanks to technology. However, the main reason the gender gap in adultery is closing is because women are no longer “settling” or expecting their partner to provide all their needs.

“[It’s] about choice,” explains Helen Fisher, Ph.D, author of Anatomy of Love: A Natural History of Mating, Marriage, and Why We Stray. “Women are more aware of the alternatives to monogamy and more inclined to demand to have all their needs met.”

Creating Timestamps

She can be trying to cover her tracks by creating a routine. If she always calls or texts you around the same time, she may be covering the fact that her day-to-day patterns are changing.  

Sudden Change in Entertainment

Maybe she used to enjoy a naughty thriller about a couple having an affair, but now she’s not really interested. These stories might be hitting a little too close to home. Or she might suddenly be into a genre of film she’d always hated before.
