We are honored to be able to make our first blog about our Spotlight Charity, the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Arteeni.com will continue to strive to inform the public about all of our charity partners in addition to sharing the many American artisans we represent. We welcome all your feedback and encourage you to let us know what you would like to see in our blogs.

Michael Fox has been a much loved actor for many years. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease at 29. Others that have been afflicted include Muhammad Ali, Linda Ronstadt, Johnny Cash and George H. W. Bush. Thanks to Mr. Fox's hard work and dedication he founded the Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF), and is making the world more aware of the disease and how it affects all who are afflicted, including the loved ones and caretakers around these people.

In the powerful video below, he shows us the faces of many people (over one million in the USA) afflicted with the disease and exposes the variety of backgrounds and ages of these folks. Living with this disease has never been easy and there is no cure yet. His organization has helped us personally understand how to cope and connect with the other faces of people who are suffering with the disease. The MJFF has also helped to fund research and connect those afflicted with research studies in the field.

This is a very personal THANK YOU, Michael. Your work has served so many, especially my husband, Marc, which is why the MJFF is our Spotlight Charity.
