Recently we spent some time in Bali and I thought I'd share just a few of the lovely things we saw.

This was my second visit to the island and it again struck me as a fascinating and beautiful place with a very alive culture. As a designer, the endless visual feast of both natural and cultural details is a bit like catnip!

Lotus flower in a pond in Ubud.

L: Pebble pattern in pavement tiles. R: Hand Carved woodwork in a Balinese temple.

The very picturesque Ulan Danu Bratan temple near Bedugul.

L: Amazingly huge and ornate statue of Kumbhakarna in the Bali Botanical Gardens, Bedugul. R: Hand carved doors.

Just some of the beautiful orchids we saw around Bali.
