We've been flat out behind the scenes so far this year while researching and planning some key changes for the jewellery business. But I also got married to my lovely partner last week, which has taken a bit of time to get organised for all on its own.

We both wanted to have a very laid back and low key Wedding day with a small number of friends and family (we're planning on having a bigger celebratory event later in the year). It went perfectly and we were very happy with the day.

As part of the wedding preparations I made us matching wedding rings in 18ct gold. They are very simple and have a light and sparkly hammer-beaten texture. While I no longer take on custom jewellery making work for customers, I thought it would be a shame if I didn't make a Ring for my own husband!

My wedding ring (the small one in the photo above) will later be accompanied by a ring made by a friend using recycled gold from my late grandmother's wedding band and some tiny gemstones. I look forward to sharing it later.
