Review: Moist, Diane Moist & Shine Shampoo and Hair Treatment

Tags: hair moist

It's been a while again! After my success with Ryoe/Ryeo Hair care I decided to try another shampoo and conditioner combo. I saw this brand before in Hong Kong and I was excited to learn  that the brand has come to our shores.

Moist Diane is a Japanese brand which focuses on moisture, and their hair care range incorporates rare oils such as argan and baobab oils, among others, to make hair more lustrous, moisturized and healthy.

It has three variants, namely: Volume and Scalp, Moist and Shine, and Damage Repair. I opted for the Moist and Shine, which claims to repair hair from within and is recommended for long, damaged hair.

Aside from argan and baobab, Moist and Shine contains cupuacu and mango seed oils, phytocell tech ingredient, vitamin E, amino acid, black pearl, jellyfish collagen, and rice extract /stem cell technology to make hair smooth and silky.

Both have a nice golden color and have this sweet, caramel-ish scent. (some described it as fruity, but I think it smells more like candy). Scent is mild, although it lasts long on my hair.

The shampoo is oil-based and silicone free. I like that it rinses clean and feels light, no greasy feeling at all even if I use it everyday. I have oily scalp and thick hair which I need to shampoo everyday. I find that I can use Diane shampoo everyday.

The moist treatment also has a lot of oils, but is non-greasy as well. This has silicone in it (Only the red Volume & Scalp variant has silicone-free treatment/conditioner). My hair feels very smooth and silky to touch after I use this.

The result?

My hair feels light, silky and very shiny indeed! I didn't use any flash for this one and the photo is un-retouched, with no filters. Now, I don't have damaged hair so I cannot speak for its damage-repairing properties, but I made my sister try it (she has colored/permed hair that's always dry) and she told me she liked it very much as well because it made her hair very smooth and easy to manage.

For me, this is a very good drugstore shampoo that really keeps my hair moist and smooth. price-wise, it is reasonable as well for 495 pesos/500 ml bottle. I'd like to try the rest of the rage just to see the effects.

Just a quick note, Moist, Diane shampoos are silicone-free, but have SLS (sulfates), if you are particular on that.

Moist, Diane is available at Watsons. I hope they can also bring the body care range here!
