While she might not be bagging the Mrs.Khan title, she’s still allowed to dream of a close-to-filmi Wedding minus the ghundas and evil aunts of course. For your big day, be kind and indulge in her reveries by taking a few romance and style cues from Bollywood’s hottest heroes. Psst… we promise you don’t have to go shirtless or run around trees.

If royal is the order of the day, then you have to do it like a true-blood Mughal prince. A rich Mughal-style choga highlighted with subtle or bold zardozi, strings of pearls, a complementing kamar bandh and an embellished pagadi are a must have for this look. Also, we love how Hiritik has his moustache-game going seriously strong here. Jodha clearly loved it.

2. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo
Or should we say, Prem Sona Dhan Payo? Did you know Salman Khan’s sherwani was crafted with real gold embroidery? Talk about a lavish affair *rolls eyes*. However, we do love how the rich jewel tone of the bandhgala is highlighted with embellished buttons, kundan jewellery and a sarpech- accessories on point. This one’s perfect if you want to pull off a royal look.

Royal hues, airy dhotis, angrakhas and grandoise that’s worthy of any Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie. FYI that’s how opulence is done! If you’re planning a wedding at a haveli, then dress the part with indulgent fabrics (velvets and brocades), rich embroidery and layered ensembles. Also, the pagadi is a must.

If you think traditional is passe, you’ve clearly not seen Sid and Varun doing a dance off in their unbuttoned Punjabi-style kurtas *drool-worthy*. Guys, an easy way to add a little swag to your outfits is to rock it with some Bollywood-charm. Sometimes, it’s just about how good you make it look. Also, it doesn’t help that Manish Malhotra designed these kurtas.

Now if you truly want to make an entrance they’ll remember then get your squad to dress the part too. Plus, a baraati full of hot men dressed in coordinated sherwanis is every bridesmaid dream come true. All you have to do is choose a colour and similar silhouettes.

7. Understated Affairs
If you’re trying to keep away from the limelight and want to host a simple yet elegant affair, then we love how the boys from Aisha have their wedding outfits orchestrated in a simple yet handsome way. Look closely and you’ll note that the monochrome outfit comes complete with a kurta, complementing waistcoat and churidars.

8. Timeless Bandhgalas
There’s a blink-and-miss scene in Wazir, where Farhan Akhtar is wearing a cream bandhgala with a tonal all over pattern and complementing juttis. This gentlemen, is a classic look that is timeless and versatile. We’d call it a fail-proof look that will get you a nod of approval from the khandan.

Good omen, bad omen… hmmm, will you shush already! While, we’d like to keep rooted to traditions and all, there’s really no harm in adding a black sherwani to your wedding line-up. Black is hot and a black sherwani can put 007 to shame!

10. Just in case all else fails, then remember what the King Khan says- “Arz karta hun, na Lucknow da kurta, na Pathani salwar, mard woh hai jo dil de, warna hai bekaar… “. Do you agree?
