10 ULTIMATE Tips to Host a Rocking Bachelorette Party

Before you say the big “I do”, you’ve got one last chance to go wild and Party away your singledom *woohoo*. Call it the “fling before the ring” or simply some harmless fun with your besties (read: pyjama parties don’t count), every bride deserves a crazy and memorable (not Hangover style) send-off. Whether you’re planning one for yourself or you’re in the running for best-maid-of-honor, we’ve got some tips to help you throw an unforgettable Bachelorette Party.

1. Save the date

Plan to have the Bachelorette party at least a week away from the wedding. You’ll need time to rest and recuperate from all those shots! If you’re planning an out-of-town party, then do this at least a month ahead of the big day.

2.Book the venue

Are you planning to paint-the-town-red or have a pool-party at a villa in Bali? Either way, you’ll want to WARN the venues that you’ll be heading there with your squad *wink*. Also, it might help you avail an early-bird discount.

3.The bridesmaid list

Now, of course we can’t tell you who to invite and who not to (how dare we?) but make sure you’ve got a headcount of all the girls attending the party. This helps when it comes to planning and also you’ll be able to shell out designated roles .i.e. chief financial officer, is my-makeup-on-fleek friend, director of beverages etc.

4.Put a budget to it

If you’ve been bitten by the OCD and frugal bug, you’ll know that maxing out your credit card has consequences. Have a budget in mind and try to stick to it (hard as it may be). Book the venue and transportation, and buy the favours well in advance to keep this controlled. As for the food and drinks, go dutch with your fellow bridesmaids.

5.Have a theme

Half the planning and fun is done if you’ve decided on a Theme. Forget the LBDs and max out on the quirk factor with fun themes from a neon-punched 80s theme to a retro pool-side party theme. Get creative and think of something you know the bride loves. Even if it’s Friends.

6.DIY everything

With tonnes of inspiration at hand, go creative and DIY every single detail, from the invites to the décor and food. It’ll be easy on the pocket and you’ll have a blast while you’re at it. You could also DIY the favours. An fun and thoughtful idea is to make a little hangover kit packed with a few beauty care products, chewing gum, wet wipes and a bauble or two.

7.Game of …

You could dance and party till the wee hours, but we suggest amping up the fun factor with a list of crazy games. From scavenger hunts to the good ol’ truth and dare, who knows what little secrets the night may unveil *evil laugh*.

8.Surprise her

Everyone loves surprises! Make her feel extra special and surprise her with a present, a slideshow of her most embarrassing (or shining) moments or let the whole bachelorette be the best surprise ever. And if you’re the bride, do a little something for your girls and let them know how much they mean to you- we’re thinking a mani-pedi spa treat.

9.Capture the spirit

Ok, this one’s a no-brainer. Up the selfie-game and make your bride a keepsake book from the bachelorette. Caption it with funny moments and quotes. She’ll love you for it (unless she wants to forget the whole thing entirely).
