History and Meaning of Holi Festival

Holi is my favorite festival and I can bet it is in to do list in every Indian. In India we have a sparking charm for Holi as we can get to play with our loved ones on this occasion of holi. If I talk about the history of Holi it’s the symbol of winning of good over bad. We are celebrating this festival in India over years and the story behind it told to me or every other is Like Hirnayakashyap was once a king he was demon and famous among people of doing wrong acts and cruelty with public however his son prahlad were a true holi soul he always make sense convincing his father to left the wrong path but Hirnakashyap refused. So Hirnaykashyap was not happy with the holiness of his son and decided to kill him. He tried many times pushed him by mountain but each time Parhlad was save (As he worshiped to Lord Vishnu and believed to save by him). At last Hirnayakashyap seek for the help of his sister named holika. Holika was blessed with a Chunri of Not burn up by fire. So she decided to sit in fire with prahlad. And this time prahlad had no choice to escape so the blessed chunri fly away from Holika and she was burned up in the bonfire and Again Prahlad came up saved. So people celebrate this occasion as a symbol of good winning over bad.
