Contemporary LED Track Systems Provide More Flexibility and Design Opportunities

Residential Homes, Apartments, and Businesses can all benefit from the flexibility and design opportunities made possible from today’s Manufacturers of Contemporary LED Track Systems.  “Tech Lighting” has some of the most beautiful track systems available today.  “Low Voltage Monorail Systems”, “Line Voltage T-TRAK”, and “KABLE LITE”, are products with incredible design choices.

The “Low Voltage Wall Monorail Track System” can be mounted to one inch off the wall. Just about any available wall space in your home can be converted to an area to accent Art hanging on the wall or to create Task Lighting to read your favorite book.

From an outlet on your wall a licensed electrician can travel up towards the ceiling to install a remote transformer.  With available clearance and space the electrician can start your run with track travelling to thirty two feet.

Tech Lighting’s “Wall Monorail Track” can follow walls changing direction.  A “Flexible Horizontal Connector” can be added to the track to make a change in wall directions.  The “Wall Monorail” should run parallel to the floor but if you want to change directions and travel up a staircase just add the “Flexible Vertical Connector”.

I want to mention that thinking outside the box is possible with this track system.  The Wall Monorail Track is also bendable in the field.  Travelling across a wall then curving the track into the room is possible.  Tech Lighting offers “Rigid Standoffs” or “Adjustable Standoffs” that can be attached to different ceiling types and angles to support the Monorail bending into a room design.

The Monorail Track Systems do not have to start from a wall area.  Power can be provided by mounting a Transformer to a ceiling Electrical box.  Remove a Chandelier from the ceiling and create a new design bending the rigid Monorail into a slow curving “S” shape over your Dining Room Table.

Hang some of the most contemporary glass shades, such as the “Melrose II” or the “Mini Melrose II” at different heights.  Another Pendant called the “Folium” has an asymmetrical hollow center and is offered in two finishes of either   Satin Nickel or a combination of White and Satin Nickel.  The “Vorlage” and the “Ecran” hanging pendants have patterns silk-screened onto hand-blown Italian glass.

For Task Lighting the all new ultra-slim “Brim” head has changeable optics to focus the beam spread from twenty degrees, thirty degrees and forty degrees.

The “Brim” track head has two finishes in either Matte Black or Satin Nickel and has two ring color choices of either clear or transparent smoke.

Stem lengths of 4.8”, 7.8’ and 13.8” are available to customize the length to your needs.  This small powerful LED track head only uses seven watts of energy but produces 855 delivered lumens of light value.  Combine Hanging LED Pendants with track heads to create a large value of light for the dining room table.

For more fun create this same track design with two circuits.  Two separate dimmers from Legrand’s “Adorne” style can create mood lighting or task lighting.  Have all the Pendants on one dimmer and place all the track heads on a second dimmer.  Tech Lighting offers the Monorail Track in “Single Circuit” or Two Circuit”.  With “Single Circuit Monorail” everything is on or off from a switch or dimmer.  With “Two Circuit Monorail” you can choose what fixtures turn on with the first dimmer or switch and the other fixtures with the second switch or dimmer.

“T-TRAK” is another track system offered by Tech Lighting that is flexible.  The advantage of this track system over Low Voltage Monorail is that the “T-TRAK” does not need a Transformer.  This Line Voltage Track System can adapt any Low Voltage pendant offered by Tech Lighting.

Low Voltage Pendants can be mounted to this track system by adding a separate “T-TRAK Freejack Connector” to every Low Voltage Pendant.  The Engineers from Tech Lighting have already designed the best of both worlds with different hanging pendants.

As an example the “Echo Pendant” has two sizes of either 9” x 5” or 7” x 4”in Line Voltage.  This same fixture is offered in Low Voltage as the “Mini Echo” in only one size of 7” x 4”. When looking at the different pendants offered by Tech Lighting just look for the track system options to place it with the track system of choice.

Not every pendant has the best of both choices of either Line Voltage or Low Voltage so Tech Lighting offers the “T-TRAK Freejack Adapter” for Low Voltage Pendants that you would like to add to the “T-TRAK” Line Voltage Track.

From the many fixture choices for task lighting I recommend the fixture called “Tweak”.  The “Tweak” incandescent Par holder fixture has options to adapt to any LED par bulb from a par 16 to a Par 38 size bulb.  The Par 16 GU10 base LED bulb is the smallest diameter LED offered for this fixture design with a twist lock mounting.

The larger size LED bulbs just screw into place.  Another advantage of the T-TRAK over the Low Voltage Monorail is that you can place up to two thousand four hundred watts of fixtures onto this system.  This track system is excellent for large room designs and retail spaces.  This Track is flexible and has a minimum radius of thirty six inches.  Tech Lighting offers this track system in Single Circuit and Two Circuit too.  I love the clean and gorgeous look Satin Nickel Tracks create with the flexibility to adapt to just about any ceiling type and height.

I always recommend having a professional Interior Designer help you with the shapes and choices for your room areas.  I love thinking outside the box by extending the length of the track to bring light to an area out of reach by any other means.

The last track system I will write about is called “Kable Lite”.  This design has two cables running parallel to each other from wall to wall.  The Kable Lite system requires a transformer and walls reinforced to withstand pressure from “Turnbuckles” pulling in opposite directions from either side of the room to keep the cables taught.

The beauty of this system is that it is minimalist and can bring light to anywhere along the system design.  Cable separations of 3.5” for a ceiling height of eight feet, 5.5” inches for a ceiling height of nine feet and no more than 8” for ceiling heights of ten feet are recommend choices. Fixture designs may have limits on cable separations so this is worth researching.  The flexibility of this cable system will allow you to change directions horizontally from a wall or changing the cable drop from the ceiling.  My favorite fixture is the “K-HELLO”.

This highly adjustable head tilts between the cables and rotates one hundred and forty degrees within its ring.  I recommend the “SORAA” MR16 LED lamp or bulb with this fixture.  I also recommend “Magnetic Transformers” with the use of LED bulbs on this “KABLE LITE” System.  Many pendant designs can also be mounted to this cable system.  Just look for the option “KL” in its model description set up.

Contemporary LED Track Systems are the latest in creating a wow factor to your room environments.  Team work in information gathering from Interior Designers to the Licensed Electricians installing the products can produce beautiful creations of artistic designs for your home or business.

Other manufacturers such as “LBL Lighting” and “Wac Lighting” have pendant choices that will adapt to the Monorail systems offered by “Tech Lighting”.
