We Love These Kids

Back in October, I wrote a blog about a group of people who bring smiles to many faces. The group is a gaggle of teens working with adults to make children happy. It is called Amy's Party, led by founder, Amy Sacks Zeide. The group known as Creating Connected Communities (CCC) has a mission to teach leadership to teens by helping to throw the best party in Atlanta. It is the best example of a community that can get things done for all the right reasons. They throw this party for underprivileged kids to give them a memorable Christmas party. They even get to take home terrific gifts donated by the kindness of businesses throughout the community.

We attended the most recent party and volunteered to work. Seeing the results of all their hard work behind the scenes was totally gratifying. The side of the story most people don't know, is how much the teens who volunteer to participate, learn at this event. They are taught how to work together and model a behavior that the children who attend will never forget. These kids get to see that there are people out there that care about them and their community. You can check out their website to learn more about CCC and Amy's Party by clicking here.

We are honoring CCC this month by tripling our donation to their cause through the end of February. To support this great organization, please select them as your designated charity in your profile when you register with Arteeni or enter coupon code "CCC2017" when checking out. Also, if you live in Atlanta, there are many other ways to participate. Please read the previous blog and check out their website to learn more.

Arteeni's mission is to promote American artisans and support our charity partners by donating a portion of each sale. For more information about Creating Connected Communities and to select them as your designated cause, click here.
