Churros con chocolate is one of the most popular breakfasts in Spain and it is very cheap. Churros are long strips of deep fried dough, sometimes dusted with sugar and/or cinammon. It is served with a cup of thick hot chocolate, in which you dip your churros. You usually get a huge portion of churros, often way too much!
It's not the most healthy of breakfasts so probably best as a bit of a treat once in a while. The best place to get churros is at a special type of cafe called a churreria, which even the smallest towns seem to have.
Expect to pay between 2 and 2.50 euros for churros and a hot chocolate.
