The Carrefour Club card (tarjeta del Club Carrefour) is a fantastic loyalty card, similar to the ones that the likes of Tesco in the UK offer.  I used to shop almost exclusively at Mercadona, but I'm finding myself using Carrefour more and more due to the bigger range of products and also due to Mercadona raising prices recently.  But mainly due to their loyalty card.

The Spanish arm of the French supermarket giant has unsurprisingly been struggling against the backdrop of economic depression in Spain.  So they have been cutting prices and putting on some great offers, with additional discounts and offers when you use your Carrefour club card.

I've done 2 shops at Carrefour over the last month and each time I've got a 5 euro off voucher to be used on my next shop when I spend over 40 euros.  They also give you other vouchers for things like free cartons of milk if you spend over a certain amount.  You can only use a maximum of 2 vouchers per shop.
