Yesterday we went up to Coin, which is 30kn north of Marbella, inland. We found a little bar in one of the squares and had some lunch. I was amazed at how cheap it was and how big the portions were. We ordered four 1/2 raciones which were 3 euros each:
- Croquetas de pollo, espinica y setas (Chicken, spiniach and mushroom croquettes)
- Pimientos rellenos (peppers stuffed with pork mince)
- Calamares fritos (fried squid)
- Cazon en adobo (monkfish?)
- 1 glass of red wine
- 1 Diet coke
Each plate was the equivalent to a full racion on the coast, but half the price.
The total bill was 15.50 euros. This would have been at least double had we been in a similar place on the costa del sol. Coin was nothing special but we at least had a good feed!
