Spanish Businesses Putting up Prices in a Recession Number 1: Toll Roads

I recently used the Toll road from Jerez to Sevilla and was amazed to see that the price had risen from the 6.40 I paid last Spring to 7.15 euros. That is a rise of nearly 12% compared to last year.  No doubt this has been done to fund the drop in revenue from fewer people using Toll Roads since the crisis started.  According to an article on ABC.es the number of people using toll roads in Spain is back to levels last seen in 1997 and is down by 28% from the peak in 2006.  Toll roas usage in spain has now fallen for 6 consecutive years.

Price rises of 12% aren't exactly going to encourage more people to use toll roads are they?
