In this blog I have wrote about Tallinn several times before. The reason for my Tallinn affection is, it’s just so beautiful city. Taking a fast ferry and going to Tallinn for a day or two is a favorite pastime of mine – and of many people, I must say. Surely, an Apartment or hotel is always required, but in a city full of tourists finding one isn’t that hard. However, what might be a harder task could be finding a cheap yet decent apartment in Tallinn. For that, I have written this article – check out these affordable apartments for comfortable time in Tallinn!
1. City Heart Apartments – Rotermanni kvartal
The City Heart Apartments are located on the Rotermanni street, between the Old Town and the Harbor. The apartments have fully equipped kitchens, living rooms and parquet floors. Walk to both harbor and Old Town takes around 5 minutes. Many of the city’s restaurants are a stone’s throw away from this property.
What people liked?
Location – Not a surprising thing, people liked the location because it’s close to both new and old side of Tallinn.
Clean – You won’t find dirt on the floors, according to many guests who left reviews about this property.
Quiet – It should also be a silent apartment. A good thing especially if you are a light sleeper.
What people didn’t like?
Hot in summertime – The Rotermanni apartment will be a bit hot in the Summer. It does not have air conditioning, sadly.

2. Tallinn City Apartments – Old Town
The inexpensive City Apartments are located in various spots in the Old Town. Modern amenities are included, such as dishwasher, fridge, television and wireless Internet. Some of the addresses even have a private sauna. All apartments have bathroom with hairdryer.
What people liked?
Location in the center – No matter which address you pick, you’ll get an apartment in the Old Town where most things interesting to tourists happen!
A lot of room – The apartments are big, starting from 45 square meters and ending at 140m2 multi-bedroom flats. You won’t be staying in cramped quarters.
Efficient handling of keys – Many people said the administrator of these apartments hands over the keys efficiently and is helpful person in general.
What people didn’t like?
Gets noisy – Like most accommodation in the Old Town, also the City Apartments gets it share from loud drunken people at nights.

3. Angleterre Apartments
The Angleterre is situated just outside the Old Town, on the Mere Puiestee street close to the Tallinn harbor. The rooms have TVs, wireless Internet, fridge and kettle. There should also be a restaurant in the building. The bathrooms have free toiletries and towels.
What people liked?
New – The apartments are in new condition, having been renovated recently.
Wireless Internet – Many people commented the WiFi signal is very strong and the Internet works fast here.
Location – Location is ideal for those who are arriving by ferry. Harbor is close, so is Old Town.
What people didn’t like?
Bedroom upstairs gets hot – Bedroom is located upstairs and it supposedly gets hot in summers.

4. Jõe Apartments
Right next to the Tallinn harbor, the Jõe Apartments have flats ranging from 39 to 53 squaremeters. All but the smallest apartments have sauna, and all units offer free Internet and television. Bathroom floors are heated, and the kitchen area has oven, microwave and fridge for cooking.
What people liked?
Sauna – Many commenters liked the sauna in these apartments.
Owners helpful – The owners of these flats who you will communicate with are helpful, friendly and nice.
Good for people coming by ferry – As its right next to the harbor, it’s easy to reach this apartment if you come to Tallinn by ferry.
What people didn’t like?
No A/C – There is no air conditioning so in the Summer it can get hot. Opening windows might help, but guests also said then noise from the busy street comes inside.

5. Rotermanni Guest Apartments
Rotermanni Guest apartments offer a compact 30 square meter flat in the center of Tallinn. The units have all amenities you could expect such as dishwasher, microwave and a toaster in the kitchen. The bathrooms come with free toiletries and hairdryer. WiFi can be used to reach Internet.
What people liked?
Quiet – If you keep windows closed you won’t hear anything from outside. Either way, sound proofing against neighboring apartments is top-notch too.
Location – Because of the central location everything is close. Old Town is a few minutes walk away, so is a big shopping center called Viru Keskus.
Washing machine – The apartment has washing machine to keep your clothes clean!
What people didn’t like?
Hot in summer – All Tallinn apartments share this problem: they get hot in the summer. This one does not have A/C.

6. Tallinn City Apartments Residence
Located in the Old Town, this affordable apartment offers 28-38 square meter units with free parking. The bigger units have a living room, all flats have kitchen equipment such as stovetop, fridge and toaster. Naturally, all units come with a free wireless Internet connection.
What people liked?
Location – Location is always great with these Old Town apartments for a tourist. Most sights you want to see are just around the cornet.
Surprisingly quiet – Because this apartment is not located on a party street it’s rather free from street noise, so said many reviews.
Parking does not cost – Few people liked the free parking this apartment provides.
What people didn’t like?
Stairs only – The apartment is located on the upper floors. There is no lift, you need to climb stairs.

7. Central Apartment Kalamaja
This cheap apartment is located in the non-touristy yet central part of Tallinn called Kalamaja. At the time of writing this article, it enjoyed one of the best ratings on all Tallinn accommodation. The Kalamaja apartments offer free parking, television, Internet, free toiletries and fridge to name a few amenities.
What people liked?
Like new – The apartment is recently renovated, which obviously many guests liked.
Quiet – The street is quiet, you won’t hear disturbing noises in this apartment.
Clean – According to many user reviews, these Kalamaja apartments are super clean and spotless.
What people didn’t like?
Soft beds – It was hard to find anything negative about this apartment, but couple of guests said the beds were too soft for their taste.
