I am sure you have seen Las Vegas so many times in movies, pictures, and TV shows that you may feel like you’ve already been there! 

Considering how popular Las Vegas is, it’s a small city. It is constantly growing to keep up with tourists and is competing for “The Next Big Thing.” Even if you’ve been to Las Vegas before, I am certain there is always more to see!

Las Vegas is known for its epic party scene, but that’s not all it has to offer. This 4 day itinerary will give you a well-rounded experience of Sin City, showing you the touristy sites (actually worth seeing), best clubs, local spots, and insider tips!

Day 1

Start your first day in Las Vegas with an epic shopping spree! The malls on the Las Vegas strip are a perfect mix of local boutiques, high-end shopping, and chain shops. Whatever your budget is, I know you will find something you love!

The best and most affordable shopping mall on the Las Vegas strip is the Fashion Show Mall. Spend your morning picking out a perfect club outfit for your first night out in Las Vegas. Aren’t nights out so much better with a brand new outfit?!

After finding your perfect dress, grab a large lunch at Maggiano’s inside the Fashion Show. This family style, Italian restaurant gives you a great view of the strip and the food is to die for. The portions are huge, but you will want to fill up your belly to prepare for all the drinking you will be doing later!

To get ready for the night clubs, grab a bottle and some mixers from a nearby store so you can have a few drinks while getting ready. There’s no way to sugar coat it… the drinks in the night clubs are EXPENSIVE ($30+ for one drink!). Having a drink or two before the club is a very common thing - as a local, I have never gone to the club completely sober.

Las Vegas nightclubs are extravagant, luxurious and exciting! If you are female (sorry boys!), you can get into most nightclubs for free… assuming it is not a holiday weekend and the guest DJ is not a big name DJ. To get on the guest list for free, you can find a lot of “hosts” walking around the strip the day of. They are mostly inside the hotels near the club handing out their cards or flyers. 

If you want a more epic night, you can opt in for a table that comes with a bottle of your choice and mixers ($$$). You will have to call and book these in advance.

• Intrigue

• And many more!

Day 2

Sleep in before heading to your hangover breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi. This French restaurant is absolutely beautiful, situated right along the Bellagio Fountains. Get the “Hair of the Dog” out of the way so you can enjoy what else I have in store for you!

Option 1: 

If the timing permits, try to catch a Las Vegas Golden Knights hockey game! Las Vegas is a large city as far as tourism goes, but we have never had a professional sports team until 2018. When the Golden Knights were created, Las Vegas came together and were overly supportive! These games are an absolute blast because the energy is so high. 

If you are able to catch a hockey game, head over the The Park near the T Mobile Arena for the pre-party. This is a wonderful area with restaurants, shops, and sculptures. Grab a flight of beer and play some cornhole at Beerhaus before the game. This place will be packed, so come early!

Option 2: 

The only thing better than a Las Vegas nightclub is a Las Vegas day club! If you are traveling to Las Vegas during the summer months, these clubs get wild. Be prepared for 8 hour drinking sprees, famous DJs, booty shaking competitions, and the worst hangover of your life (drinking in the sun + sugary drinks = NO fun!). 

My go-to day clubs are:

• Encore Beach Club

• Wet Republic

• Drai’s Beach Club

• Daylight Beach Club

• Marquee Day Club

After the day club, head over to the famous In N Out burger for a pre-nap meal! If you have never been to the West Coast before, In N Out is a must. It’s a famous burger chain that is only located on the West Coast of the USA. 

TIP: Get “animal style” fries, which is a plate of fries with cheese, their secret sauce and grilled onions on top - Trust me on this one. 

If you’re still kicking after this busy day, head over to the Bellagio to see their beautiful conservatory. The Bellagio changes the theme every season, so even if you have seen it before, it’s still worth seeing again. This conservatory has enormous sculptures made 100% out of real flowers. The upkeep and detail makes this spot truly breathtaking.

If you are still in the mood for drinking, head over to Hyde at the Bellagio for a craft cocktail with a view of the Bellagio Fountains. At night, the fountains go off every 15 minutes and at the front row seats of Hyde, this show is out of this world. 

Day 3

Today will be adventurous and action-packed! 

Start your day off with a sunrise Hot Air Balloon ride just outside of the Las Vegas strip. Up until this point, you’ve been immersed in the hectic and crazy Las Vegas party life. This morning, you will get to take a step back and enjoy the calm and peaceful side of this amazing city. 

After your Hot Air Balloon ride, you can head outside of the city to Las Vegas’s many hiking trails to sweat out some of that alcohol. Stop for lunch or pack some sandwiches for a picnic at one of my two favorite spots!

Red Rock Canyon is gorgeous for those who are not from the desert. There are endless hiking trails for any fitness level, or you can just drive the loop and enjoy the views from the car. Be cautious that these hiking trails are very hot in the summer months!

Another hiking option (my personal favorite), is Mount Charleston. Driving just an hour outside of the city you can take in the expansive views of the forest, waterfalls and rivers. A moderate, short hike is Mary Jane Falls, which takes you to two waterfalls and a cave overlooking the forest.

End your night seeing old Las Vegas. This area of Las Vegas is polar opposite from the Las Vegas Strip. Drinks are far less expensive, there are endless murals and art districts, and all of the hotels are old-school (not modern like the Las Vegas Strip).

There’s a lot to see in Downtown so start your night zip lining under the dome on Fremont Street. Tickets range from $20-$50 depending on the time, date and length of the zipline you want to do. Along Fremont street you will see everyone carrying fat tuesday drinks, naked street performers and live concerts! 

If you’re an art fan, I recommend walking around seeing the sculptures and murals - they are everywhere! Especially The Container Park, which is free to enter and the entire park is made out of recycled shipping containers! Inside the Container Park, there is a large playground for kids, live bands, restaurants, shops and bars. You could easily spend an hour or two in this section alone.

After you get your touristy fix of downtown Las Vegas, it’s time to head to where the locals go! This area is popular for the locals because of the trendy bars that are closely linked together, it has never been easier to bar hop! If you want to join in on the fun, bars start to fill up around 10pm and the most popular ones are: 

• Corduroy

• Commonwealth

• Gold Spike

• Odd Fellows

• Hogs & Heifers 

Day 4

On your last day of visiting Las Vegas, I want to show you my favorite local spot. But first… a trip to Las Vegas is not complete without a picture of the famous “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign! Located right off Sunset Rd & Las Vegas Blvd (the beginning of The Strip), there is a small parking lot right in front of the sign so you can easily hop out and grab a quick picture. 

LOCAL TIP: This sign gets packed fast! I would go a little early if you want a picture without a million people in the background.

Don’t worry, I didn’t forget to share my favorite local spot with you! One of the best areas for a nice day is Town Square. It’s an outdoor shopping mall with local restaurants, wine bars, fresh juice spots, and adorable boutique shopping. 

The best part is, this shopping mall is so close to the Las Vegas sign, only a block down the street! Start your day off with brunch at BoneFish. They have bottomless mimosas for only $12, which makes shopping a lot more fun! 

After your boozed, relaxed, and spent some money on souvenirs for yourself, it’s time to head back to the strip for some last minute sightseeing. The Venetian is my favorite hotel to show people from out of town. It is italian themed and will make you feel like you are wandering the streets of Venice. 

Grab an extravagant milkshake from Blacktap (calories don’t count on vacation, right?) and explore the replica of the Grand Canal and lagoon that wraps outside the hotel and through the shops inside. 

To end your final day, head inside the Venetian to go to their popular Ice Bar. They have many packages to choose from like general entry, VIP that comes with a drink and faux fur coat, shot ski packages and more! You don’t need a reservation for this bar unless you are coming with a large party and want a private room. You can browse packages and pricing here. 

That’s a wrap! I hope you grow to love this city as much as I do. While there are millions of things to do in Las Vegas, I think this itinerary will give you a well-rounded experience to see the touristy spots, local spots and everything in between.
