Mount Everest on the Nepal-Tiber border is the highest mountain peak in the world with an elevation of 8,848.86 meters (29,031.7 feet). It is also one of the most challenging summits to reach and most desired by almost every mountaineering enthusiast.
Edmund Hillary of New Zealand along with his sherpa Tenzing Norgay of Nepal where the first two men to reach the summit of Mount Everest in 1953.
Junko Tabei of Japan is the first woman to reach the Mount Everest summit in 1975
