So what happened? It's been nearly two years since I said I was stuck? Did I ever finish college? Not quite. I still haven't graduated from my university yet. Long story short, more heartbreak and Money issues have been roadblocks to graduation. However, I did have an opportunity to redeem myself by going to tax College. No, it's not an actual college, but it's a class in learning the basics of preparing tax returns and federal tax law. I took a free class online and also took a class with a tax preparation company. I passed them both with flying colors and had a wonderful tax season this year and made some great part-time money. I'm looking forward to doing it again. What about graduating from college? Well, I certainly plan to graduate within the next three years. Hopefully within the next two years, but I need money. My GPA is still awful, so I doubt I'll be getting any federal money this semester. A lot has changed, though. While I won't go into detail right now, I just want to let anyone who may come across this blog know that there's always a way. I never thought I'd enjoy doing taxes, but I took a chance and it paid off. Come to find out, I really do like it. I got a huge boost in confidence when I passed both classes and I opened the door for a possible career in taxes. Sure, I'm still at the beginning and I need to get a few more years experience before I branch off into something that lasts longer than four months, but I'm grateful. If you're struggling with anything just remember that God is good and He'll always make a way. He did it for me.
