My financial aid for the fall finally posted to my student account. I have a full Pell Grant and my academic Scholarship increased but it is still not enough to cover all of cost. The scholarship that I lost for the semester would've covered that and given me a nice refund check. So, I'm in the process of writing a couple of essays for some scholarship competitions. Let's hope I win. I did, however, manage to save a little bit of money by decreasing the number of hours that I'm taking this semester. I only dropped one hour and it only saved me $51 but it's better than nothing. I also like my schedule a lot more now. I hated it before but I couldn't figure a way to make it work. I was determined today. Now, it's near perfect. I did some pricing on my books and once again I'll be buying my books on Amazon. If I buy them from the school bookstore it'll cost me around $325. It'll only be $110 if I shop on Amazon. That sounds like a deal to me. I could rent a couple of books. It is possible to do that. I don't think I will, though. Why is college so expensive? Sometimes I think I know the answer. Other times, I'm not so sure. It could be worse.
