Less than two weeks until school starts and I am too excited. I guess the right thing for me to do is to go ahead and start packing now...we'll see how well that goes. What I'm really trying to do is get some money together to get my books. Trust that most, if not all, of my books will be used and will more than likely come from Amazon.com. Buying them from the school bookstore will cost me three times the amount that I'll spend online. If I really see a good deal on a new textbook, I'll probably buy from Amazon and then sell it back to the school at the end of the semester and get the majority of my money back. If not, I can sell it on WeBuyTextBooks.com and get a pretty good deal. Actually, I'll probably be halfway into the semester before I finally have all of my books. I'll manage, though.

Something crazy that I realized about a week ago, I'm a member of a site called Scour. Scour is a search engine that gives you points for each search that make. Once you get so many points, you can redeem them for Visa gift cards. What's so crazy about it is that I stumbled across it and tried to sign up for it and realized that I had been a member for a year. If only I had known that. I would have had two or three gift cards since I'm always doing some sort of research on the internet. Now I have the toolbar downloaded so that I can use it on a regular basis. I can use it whenever I have an assignment that requires research. It's a bit of a consolation, actually. If I don't do so well on the assignment, at least I'll still have points on Scour which will count towards a monetary reward later :-) It's definitely great for us poor college students.
