How to use iMessage on Windows PC

iMessage is an amazing platform to sync your SMS and other texts if you’re on a Mac or an Iphone. But the truth is that, it becomes a real hassle to sync all your texts if you’re using a Windows PC or a laptop. You won’t be able to fully access the texting and you’d have to keep going back to your iPhone to refer from it. Unless of course, you could make some unique changes in the way you operate Imessage on Windows PC. It is very easy to use the iMessage platform on an Android phone, Windows or a Linux desktop through the browser if you learn how to do it.

  • What do you need?

Firstly, you will need a jail broken iPhone. The iPhone that you purchase from Apple has the whole ecosystem in it and there is no way it’s going to allow you to access the iMessage platform on another device. So start off with jail-breaking your OS in the iPhone.

  • What can you do?

To access the iMessage, you’ll need a Cydia tweak called as ‘Remote Messages’. You can purchase it for $4 for the BigBoss repo. The setup and installation is very simple and once everything is done, you can open the settings tab. Make sure your server is switched on and you can also change your password to something more secure. To log on to this, you will have to open your web browser and enter your current IP address under the head ‘Current IP’. After you’ve typed in your IP address, you will need to add a colon and a server port number.

This should work fine in most browsers and you can access iMessage for Windows.

  • How to get your server port number?

From your PC, download ‘itunnel-mux’ and extract the zip file. Once that is done, right click on the ‘itunnel-mux’ and create a 6shortcut. Once the shortcut is created, you can click on ‘properties’ and type ‘–lport XXX –iport XXX’ in the target field. The XXX is your port number. After obtaining the port number, you can easily enter it in the step mentioned above.

For a better connectivity or inflow of messages, make sure your WiFi is working properly and avoid operating this through any other connection.

  • How to get iOS on another platform?

By using ‘Pushbullet’ you can easily access your notifications, files, images, notes and links on any other platform. You will have to install the Pushbullet app on your iPhone along with whatever other device you choose to access your files from.

  • Conclusion

The iOS by Apple can be tough to crack and it surely doesn’t make things easy to operate it from another device. By using Remote Messages you will be able to access your data across any platform irrespective of the device that you are using at that current moment. The services offered by Remote Messages are very easy to operate, give simple functionality to the basic user, and also it is cheap to purchase.
