So, you’ve done all the hard work. You’ve done a great job advertising, optimized your site for SEO, and worked hard to get your products out there for the world to see. Unfortunately, website traffic doesn’t always convert to sales.

If you’re seeing a high rate of people dropping in to your online store but leaving before making a purchase, it may be time to reassess your strategy.

What you really need are Conversions. The term conversion rate essentially refers to a measurement comparing the number of website visits to those visits that result in sales when we’re talking about Shopify stores since the point is to sell your product.

The good news is that there are plenty of ways you can improve your conversion rate and therefore make more sales. You’ll find several tips that you can use to increase Shopify Conversions below.

The point of tweaking your eCommerce store is to help you make more money and sales. Any simple tweak and increase sales quickly.

Tip # 1: Get to Know Your Target Market

It’s crucial that you really know who you’re trying to sell to first and foremost. This goes beyond knowing the demographics of your target market and digs down into the meat of who they really are. What kind of things to they enjoy?

What do they do in their spare time? Who influences them (and can you leverage that knowledge)? Most of all, how can your product help to solve a problem that your audience commonly experiences or improve their life?

Tip # 2: Give Your Copy a Boost

Now that you know your audience better and have thought about them on a more personal level, it’s time to tackle that copy. The first thing that you need to remember when it comes to copy is that you shouldn’t mistake wordiness for quality.

A boost definitely doesn’t mean that your copy needs to be longer. Regardless of your customer base, you want your copy to be concise but still thorough. This is particularly important on your product pages. Your customers need quick access to pertinent details, presented in a way that appeals to them.

Tip # 3: Use Great Images on Your Shopify Store

Regardless of where an image on your site is located, it needs to be high quality. Use only high-resolution pictures that reflect your brand’s aesthetics and values, and for the love of all that is sacred, avoid cheesy stock images that don’t really represent your products or your company at all.

They’re fake and insincere and many customers can sense that. It also helps to be consistent with your images (i.e., using similar themes across all product photos, particularly cover and thumbnail photos).

Tip # 4: Use Applicable Shopify Features and Apps

Depending on your product, which features and apps will get you more Shopify conversions will vary somewhat, but there are a few features that are almost universally effective at getting customers to make a purchase.

Well executed product videos are one of those. Stats show that you can increase conversion rates with product videos, with website visitors being 64%-85% more likely to buy what you’re selling after watching a great product video.

You can use Shopify apps to make sure your customers can quickly find anything they need to know about your products.

Providing easy access to customer support, whether it’s site-wide through a chat box or through a button on each product page, can help your customers get answers they need quickly and without hassle.

You might also consider a FAQ page so that your customers have easy access to much of the information they may need to decide whether your product is right for them.

It would also be a good idea to find a conversion tracking Shopify app do you can split test and track what's going on.

Tip # 5: Offer Customers Assurance

By offering customers a guarantee of some sort, like a money-back guarantee, you can help build their trust in your brand.

It shows that you truly believe in your product and are willing to stand behind that belief, even if it winds up costing you in the end. Make sure that your guarantee is prominently displayed on your site or it won’t have the positive effect intended.

You can put it on a site-wide banner or you can add a badge with your guarantee to your product pages. If customers aren’t aware of the guarantee it’s certainly not going to sway their decision to buy or not buy your product.

When doing conversion rate optimization this will help build trust with your buyers.

Tip # 6: Add Reviews and Testimonials

It’s easier for new customers to trust you if they know other people have had a good experience with your brand and with your product.

Make sure your customers can leave reviews on the site and be sure you treat every transaction like it will be reviewed for all to see. Add testimonials to your checkout page to help give customers a little nudge to close the sale.

Tip # 7: Give Customers the Right Kind of Options

It’s important to give customers options, but don’t give them so many options that they’re overwhelmed. You can do this by offering the right options.

One option that you might consider offering customers to improve your Shopify conversions is different ways to pay. Provide as many ways to pay as possible, including PayPal, as many credit/debit card options as are feasible, Bitcoin, and several more.

Don’t offer too many buying options, though. While you want your ecommerce customers to have the ability to make decisions about the product they’re buying, offering too many options can have a negative impact.

A confused customer is more likely to walk away without making a purchase. Provide customers with options, but don’t give them so many that they can’t figure out which option is right for them.

Tip # 8: Don’t Force Customers into a Long-Term Relationship

It can be very off-putting for a new customer when, before they’ve even gotten through the check-out process, you’re demanding personal information.

While it’s obviously nice to have customer info on file, and customers will still have to provide some info for payment or shipping information, it can seem a little forceful to make them create an account before they’ve even received your product and decided whether they’ll be a return customer.

Instead, give them the option to check out as a guest, providing as little info as is necessary to carry out the transaction. You can always ask if they’d like to create an account after the deal is sealed.

Tip # 9: High Converting Shopify Theme

This is something you need to have. You should get a high converting shopify theme that helps you get more sales. If you don't do this you could be leaking sales. One I like is "eCom Turbo" If you search that in google it will pop up for you.

This is actually my theme and was designed for conversions by me. It's also helped my students earns millions from there drop shipping stores and helped them sell more ecommerce products.
