Your Mission and Vision Reflect, for what you stand!

Importance of Mission and Vision Statement

Tillu was traveling for the first time by train. TC came to Tillu and asked for the ticket. Tillu looked in his pockets but it was not there, he got disturbed and quickly opened his bag but unfortunately, the ticket was not there. He became so tensed and exhausted.

Looking at the situation of Tillu, TC said, Sir, I think you have bought the ticket but you have lost it somewhere, I can understand do not worry.

Tired Tillu saw in his eyes and said shut up! You stupid. I’m not looking for tickets to show you. I want my ticket because I don’t know which station to land.

I think it is not only with tillu, mostly startups also face the same situation and that is why more than 90% of startups shut down within one year. I will try to make it very clear that how your mission and vision statement play important role for the growth of the company.

We all are familiar with these two words Mission and Vision but how much we care about it while it is about implementation. Do we really know the importance of mission and vision statement of a company?

As per my observation the mission, vision and values are just for show purpose on the website.

There was a king who used to roam in his city every day to see his arrangements. While walking one day, suddenly a thorn was stuck in his leg. Raja was suffering a lot; The doctor came and treated then told the king the fork was poisonous If it gets stuck next time in your leg you will lose your leg. Roaming was a regular work for the king, so he asked his ministers to look for a solution to this problem. Ministers thought out a solution. They said that if we put a broom on the path of the whole city before your roaming, then the problem will be solved.

King liked the idea and ordered to complete the task. The servants started work and began to broom. The dust of the path started flying from the broom and people began to have trouble in breathing.

The people of the town complained to the king and requested to stop this work. The king also thought that this is not the solution. He again called his ministers and said them to finally find the solution to this problem. After a while, they came up with a slight change in the existing idea. The change was after brooming irrigation will be done immediately with water so that dust does not fly.

This sound good to the kind he again orders for this. The next day when the king started roaming, the workers started irrigation after the broom, which resulted in the complete route become mud and the feet of the king became dirty. The king got very angry and looked at his minister’s eyes. All of a sudden a boy came up from the crowd and worn shoes at the king’s feet. He said to the king I made this for you Maharaj and this is the solution to this problem. Since then, all the people in the village started wearing shoes in their feet.

From this story, I want to say that when we make any startup, we solve any problems. This is our only motive, but we forget that.

I think that if our mission and vision reflect in our work from the very first day, then this problem will be solved.

Let’s see

What is Mission –

Mission means the purpose of your existence, why are you in the market and what problem are you solving? The problem of the customer being solved by you is your mission.
