I want to share some resource in other to get excellence images for your website, whenever you build a website, what really makes it stand out and look Good is quality images. you have to have a resource for quality images. there are several ways to get images, there are freeways. there is a dangerous way and there is paid ways, I will go over all those in this post.
first of all, here is the most dangerous way to get images for your website, and that is Google image search, I usually do it in a safe way whenever I want a logo for a company. but there are certain image owner that will sue if you use their images, and a good example of that is gettyimages.com.
Getty images own images, they own a lot of images and if they find you using their images on your website good luck for you because you will get a big fat bill that you Gonna have to pay or you gonna have to find legal means to fight, and I don't want that for you.
this is the way Google images work
if I just search for a man and I click on images, it gonna show me a bunch of images of a man that you might want for your website.
that is google images, some time is okay to use, like I said, I use it if I want to find a logo for a company that I might be doing something for. this's the way I do it, but you really have to be careful because it dangerous you are really playing with fire, if you are building website for your client the last thing you want is to take one of the images that someone own. putting on your client website and then they get sued. it happens, folks.
1. there is several free resources that actually fantastic and one of the is www.pexels.com I use it much time, when you scroll down you can see they quality of the photo
the way they get their images, there are contributor that upload their images to the site, you don't have to give any attribution and the images you find on pixels are very high quality.
the way they make money is. if you click some of the images that you wanted to download you will see an advertise here that say sponsored photos
you gonna see photo that on pay site, which is very expensive, if you are looking for a perfect photo but you can see it in those ones that are free, you can head over to the sponsored photos, and purchase that image.
2. one of the bigger or larger free image website is www.pixabay.com, I tend to not like their image, but some people really do, I really don't.
but you can go to pixabay, some of the images is the same.you will find the same images on bot side. I think some of the images you might have to give an attribution, when you click into an image, on the right side it say Free for commercial use and No attribution required.
those are the kind of image like to go for, I don't want to have images where in other to use it on my website I have to give a link to some website or some place I usually avoid those type of images.
3. there is a new way of finding images and it called www.librestock.com what it does is, it search all of the image websites and put all the result in one place.
So, if I type dogs and it will start showing me a hundred result of dogs
this image is from a lot of different free images website, instead of just going to those websites, you can just come here and google for a free image site and when you click one of them it gonna take you over to those sites, like this image below
if I click on that image it gonna take me to pixabay, where I can download the image for free.
that is actually a good option as well, now, there is also pay option and here is one that I have used and like a lot, it call stock unlimited
but recently they just increase the cost of the service, So, I don't necessary know if you will need it, is a website where you can just pay a feel and download many images as you want and use those image anywhere that you want.
they have some really high-quality images, they recently increase the cost, they use to give you a lifetime membership for $89 now is more expensive, they have a free account but I have never tried their free account, you can also try that. this are just thing you can do to get quality images for your website.
