This resource can be used for learners looking at the past, present and future tense. They need to read the sentences carefully and highlight the correct tense in relation to the time used. The resource can be used as a formative assessment tool or as a recap activity after teaching.

Suggested Activities

• Illicit information from learners about various times e.g. yesterday, last week etc.
• Create matching time with tense cards for a group activity (I will create one at a later date).
• Learners could work independently and create their own sentences using time and tense correctly.
• Have a group discussion about what the learners notice about the verbs that are used with the past, present and future tense.
