As a teenager, I believe in taking up the opportunities, as no one can predict the future. Though, opportunities come with risk, it leads to either happiness or wiseness;higher the risk, higher the reward.

Covid 19 has made a huge impact on the lives of many people. We impulsively get depressed by knowing the daily increase in Covid cases along with extended lockdown periods.

As Sir Winston Churchill (Former prime minister of UK) states “A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity, an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.”

I would like to share a few experiences of mine during the Quarantine Days. I never expected that I would change myself in 14 days, in which I felt isolated. I started utilizing the time wisely and effectively. It had been really difficult sitting between four walls talking to none.  However, rather than getting perturbed, I looked at the bright side and that’s the time, I started doing things productively.

HOW DID I MAKE USE OF MY QUARANTINE DAYS?

• Online courses

Since I’m interested in marketing and analytics, I opted for short-term online courses. As every year things keep getting  updated,  I was firm that my skill set should be upto the mark with respect to  my interest and career choice. Hence, I began taking up the courses from COURSERA and ALISON which helped me a lot in enhancing my knowledge in many aspects. The trainers of the onlines courses are well-versed with the subject and from well-known universities of USA and UK.

• Internships

In order to finish my certified online courses, I was in need of financial assistance as it’s really hard to go out and earn for myself. These courses will add weightage to my C.V. Hence,  I started working as a campus ambassador in Internshala, E-cell IITR, International Model United Nations (IMUN). I completed my internships successfully which helped me to learn various techniques and marketing strategies.

• Webinars

I registered for various webinars on career guidance which paved the path to comprehend the latest trends and strategies.

Everybody has to come out of their comfort zone and start climbing the mountain of success. Opportunities will never come to us, one has to find it on his/her own to be successful. The key ideas are utilization of time, and challenging oneself. There are hundreds of people who are blind,deaf and differently-abled in other ways accomplish unbelievable things in their life.
