GCSE English Language - Identifying Structure
It is important that learners for both AQA and Edexcel English Language are able to identify structural features correctly within a text as well as analyse and explain why they have been used by the writer and what impact they have. I always explain to my learners that all features are chosen for a reason and that a simple sentence isn't just there for the sake of it.
I created this basic information guide for learners to have at the beginning of the course so that they are aware of some of the main techniques, explanations and examples. Learners can continually refer to them as the course progresses and hopefully gain a better understanding of how and why structure is used.
