MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Chemistry are expected to release results of October 2022 Chemist and Chemical Technician board exam on October 24-27 or in 3-6 working days after the exam. The complete list of passers, topnotchers (top 10), top performing schools and performance of schools are available here as announced online.

PRC administered the Chemist board exam on October 17 and 18 and Chemical Technician on October 19 in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Koronadal, Pampanga, Tacloban and Zamboanga.

REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING

According to PRC, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to https://online.prc.gov.ph/ and follow instructions for initial registration.

Those who will register are required to bring the following:

• downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
• notice of admission (for identification only)
• 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
• 2 sets of documentary stamps
• 1 piece short brown envelope

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The date of the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER, PRC said.

COVERAGE OF EXAM

The two-day Chemistry examination covered the following subjects: inorganic chemistry (25%), organic chemistry (15%), analytical chemistry (25%), physical chemistry (20%) and biochemistry (15%).

Chemical Technician board exam covered the following subjects: analytical chemistry (50%) and organic chemistry (50%).

RELEASE OF RESULTS

According to PRC Resolution No. 1439 series of 2021, the target release of recent Chemist board exam results is on Thursday, October 27 or in six (6) working days after the last day of exam.

Note that results may be released ahead of the target or on later date without prior notice. We advise takers to monitor announcement of results starting Monday, October 24.

PREVIOUS EXAMS

In the October 2021 board exam, PRC released results in four (4) working days. A total of 134 out of 369 passed the Chemist exams while 1,074 out of 1,322 passed the Chemical Technician examinations.

In October 2019 exams, results were released in two (2) working days after the last day of examination. PRC named 457 out of 1,085 who passed the Chemist Licensure Examination and 2,298 out of 2,834 passed the Chemical Technician Licensure Examination.

In the October 2018 Chemist board exam, PRC also announced results in 2 working days. A total of 496 out of 1,101 passed the Chemist Licensure Examination and 1,673 out of 1,916 passed the Chemical Technician Licensure Examination.
