Kool Kids Training College (RTO 40636) is keeping a close eye on the new training package and advising students and clients as the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) progresses with their review.
We can report that the 36th meeting of the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) was held on 23 February 2021.
At the meeting, the Committee welcomed Mr Brian Newman, Chair of the Children’s Education and Care IRC, who was invited to present to the committee findings from the review into six Children’s Education and Care qualifications which commenced in 2016. The Committee also heard from Ms Gabrielle Sinclair (CEO, Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority) on her organisation’s views regarding proposed changes to key early childhood related qualifications.
The results of the meeting are tabled below.
In short, the CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification has been approved, whilst the CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care has not been approved.
The next AISC meeting will be held on Tuesday 20 April 2021, at which time a further update on CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care will be published.

In conclusion, with the CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care now approved, Kool Kids Training College will be seeking clarification on teach out and finer details and publish this information once direction is given from the relevant authorities. We will give an update on the CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care post the April meeting.
