5 Warning Signs Your Life is on Autopilot

Are you settling for adequate when you could have great?

A lot of people do. They complain about their jobs but say, “Oh well, at least I have a job.”

They’re envious of people who follow their passion and love their work, but they don’t think they can do that too.

They coast along on Autopilot and wonder why other people have happy, fulfilling lives.

Are you doing it too? Check the Warning Signs we’ve put together.

1.  You Don’t Know What’s Most Important

You don’t know what’s most important to you. You’re so busy just getting through the day that you don’t stop and think about your priorities.

You don’t evaluate and ask yourself if things could be better. You stick to what you know while inwardly hoping the perfect career will fall into your lap when you least expect it.

That’s a myth you need to stop believing.

2.  You Never Have Enough Time

You’re so busy racing through each day you don’t have time for the people and activities you love. You find yourself wasting time on social media, or flaked in front of the television at the end of the day.

But you don’t have quality time for yourself. You’re not living your life intentionally, and you can’t find the inspiration to follow your dreams.

3.   You Lack Motivation

Your job isn’t enjoyable but it’s tolerable. It pays well and your life is comfortable so why change?

Maybe you’ve thought about doing something different but it seems like too much effort. Maybe you don’t know how you’ll find the time or effort to change.

Maybe you just haven’t noticed all the signs that it’s time for a career change.

4.  You’ve Stopped Planning Fun Times

You really know your life is on autopilot of you’re not planning weekends away or fun activities. You remember what fun is, right?

Time with family or friends, going to a movie or concert or having a night out.

5.  You Don’t Have a 3-5 Year Plan

This is a big one, particularly if you’re not actually happy at the moment. You need to have a plan for how you want your life to be in the future.

Career change doesn’t have to be hard. Work out how you want your life to be, and start implementing changes bit by bit.

If you don’t start, you’ll never make progress.

Live Life to The Full
