Why Girl Scouts Is An Essential Part Of Every Girl's Childhood.

Girl Scouts - The LeadHERs

How do most people see a girl; meek, docile, weak, silent. Being a scout changes them into G.I.R.L.
(Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-Taker, Leader). The time that girls spend at Scout Camps is the time that they
cherish all their life. That is the time when you learn all the life lessons as a part of growing up. It shapes
their mind and in some ways the physique to be a bold, energetic, compassionate and kind human being.
Scouts live by their principles; they have a disciplined routine similar to any army personnel.
Here are the six life lessons that girl scout prepares you for:
1. To be ready for whatever life throws at you

At girl scout camps, through various games and drills, girls are trained, not to fret when circumstances
become tough. They are taught to be stable and form a strategy to overcome the situation.
    2. To be an adventurer all your life

With changing venues of events and camps, scouts are introduced to different surroundings, climate and
environment. The conditions are not always the most suitable or habitable. This enhances the risk-taking
factors in the girl scouts. Also, they learn new things like swimming, hill climbing, river rafting just to name
some. All these situations make their lives quite adventurous.
      3. Seek challenges and learn from setbacks

Even grown-ups sometimes get tired of what comes along their way and give up. Being a girl scout is a
road full of challenges, you are trained to keep trying, you are taught that the only reason we fall is to
learn how to get back up, you focus on developing yourself and come up with a better comeback.
        4. Have a strong sense of self

Girl scouts are exposed to learning new things every day, which may or may not be in the comfort zone.
Such activities help the girl scouts to step-up and increase their limits. They learn their strengths and
weaknesses. By getting involved in the activities they are aware about the risks and how to deal with
them. This brings self-confidence and a strong sense of self.
          5. Have a disciplined way of life

Scouts have some fixed morals, values and principles to which they abide by all their life. Like the way
they dress, their behaviour, and their responses to situations and arguments is unlike any other ordinary
person. The way they introduce themselves marks a distinct nature and can be easily identified.

            6. Form and maintain healthy relationships

Girl scouts are frank and they are almost always the ones who initiate the conversation. At camps, you
get several friends and doing certain tasks together, going on trips and other adventures, strengthens
the relationship. It is always their nature to make everyone feel included, moving forward together as a
team is their goal and thus, the relationship is always alive.

The life lessons that a girl scout learns are always useful to her, in all phases of her life. It creates a
sense of independence and freedom, builds strength and optimism, and teaches them how to stay
connected with the community. Once a scout, always a scout.
