Tripura JEE 2018 – Tripura Joint Entrance Examination Board (TBJEE)

Tripura JEE 2018 or Tripura Joint Entrance Examination 2018 (TJEE) offers admission to Engineering, Technological, Veterinary, Agriculture, Fisheries and other professional undergraduate courses. The exam will be conducted at Dharmanagar, Kailasahar, Ambassa, Udaipur and Agartala only. TJEE is held by the Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination/Tripura Joint Entrance Board (TBJEE). Latest Update

Tripura Joint Entrance Examination for the year 2018 is hereby postponed due to the new Time Table of CBSE AISSCE (Class-XII) exams. As Bengali Language examination is on 27th April and matches with the Mathematics and Biology of TJEE-2018 examination dates.

Examination Conducting Body: Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination (TBJEE) under Directorate of Higher Education.

Courses: Engineering, Technological, Veterinary, Agriculture, Fisheries and other professional UG courses.

Tripura JEE 2018 Application Form

The TJEE 2018 application forms will be available from 2nd January 2018 and the last date for receiving of forms will be 31st January 2018.

The various modes of obtaining the application form and process for submitting each is mentioned below.

IN PERSON:

The application form and prospectus may be obtained from the counter of any of the following institutions on payment of Rs. 90, in cash only.

  3. K. Mahavidyalla- Kailash Nagar
  4. D. Memorial College- Khowai
  5. Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar College- Belonia
  6. S. Mahavidyalla- Udaipur

Postal Request:

The application form and prospectus may be obtained by postal request from the office of TBJEE by sending a postal order of the Rs. 90 in favour of TRIPURA BOARD OF JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION, payable at Agartala Head Post Office.

The application form and prospectus may be downloaded from the website. In this case, the applicant must submit a challan of Rs. 90 as examination fees at any State Bank of India.

Candidates must deposit their application fees through challan supplied by TBJEE at any branch of State Bank of India within the stipulated period mentioned on the TBJEE website/form.

TJEE 2018 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for Tripura Joint Entrance Exam are led by TBJEE.

CRITERIA EXPLANATION
Nationality Candidate must be a citizen of India
Residence / Domicile Candidate or his/her parent must have been residing in the state of Tripura continuously for not less than 10 years. (5 years in case of children of serving defence personnel and wards of Ex-Servicemen)

However, there are some exceptions.

1.       Children of All India Services Officers, born in Manipur-Tripura cadre are eligible.

2.       Children of State Government employees posted outside Tripura are eligible.

3.       Children of Officer on deputation to the Government of India / Officer to the Central Government are eligible under certain conditions.

Academics and Subjects Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of TBSE/CBSE in the year of TJEE with equivalent subjects.
Previous Allotment w.r.t. JEE If a candidate is allotted a seat in the past, inside or outside the state, on the basis of JEE, he/she shall not be eligible unless the allotted seat is surrendered in writing to the appropriate authority within the specified time.
Reservation Seats for SC/ST/Physically handicapped/Wards of ex-servicemen will be as per approved norms of the state government.

Exam Pattern

TJEE is divided into three different groups, depending on the subjects chosen. Candidate can choose to appear from any of the four subjects offered by TBJEE, namely, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. The minimum number of subjects a candidate may appear for is three and the maximum number of subjects is four. Question paper of each subject of examination will be of 100 marks, comprising of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

Tripura Joint Entrance Question Papers

Candidates seeking admission to Engineering/ Technical degree courses (GROUP A) will have to appear in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, while candidates seeking admission for Degree courses in Medical/Veterinary/Agricultural (GROUP B) will have to appear in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Candidates wishing to take their chances in both the groups (GROUP C) will have to appear for all the four subjects.

Each subject exam lasts for 2 hours and the subject exams are divided in a period of two days. Physics and chemistry are held on the first day, whereas mathematics and biology are held on the second day. Candidates from group A & B have to appear for two exams on the first day and one exam on the second day, whereas candidate from group C has to appear for two exams on both days.

Optical Marks Recognition/Reading system is adopted for TRIPURA JEE 2018 and students are expected to mark the OMR sheet neatly with a blue or black ballpoint pen.

TBJEE has created a pool of 100 questions for each subject and this pool is divided into 10 modules. Each candidate will get 5 questions from each module, summing up to 50 questions for each subject. Every right answer choice awards 2 marks and there is no negative marking for wrong answer choices.

Tripura JEE Syllabus
