Bulandshahr Rape Case: UP CM Admitted Negligence Of Police, Says Chief Secretary

UP Chief Secretary Deepak Singhal on Tuesday said that UP Chief Minister has admitted the negligence of Police in Bulandshahr rape case.

Singhal’s statement came a day after UP Police arrested the main accused Salim Bawaria in the case.

“I have given police 10 to 15 more days, we work for the people. I can put them behind bars if I want to,” Singhal said.

A group of dacoits had brutally raped the woman and her 13-year-old daughter at gunpoint after dragging them out of a car in Bulandshahr on NH-91 when they were travelling with their family from Noida to Shahjahanpur on July 29.

Three more persons, including the main accused in the Bulandshahr gangrape case, have been arrested, taking the total number of those nabbed in connection with the incident to six, a top police official said on Monday night.
