Delhi Budget LIVE: Education Gets The Lion’s Share As Manish Sisodia Allocates 24% Of Total Budget To It

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government tables Delhi budget for 2017-18 on Wednesday. The government lays the budget on the third day of the fifth session of the Assembly on Wednesday.

Poor tax collection will be the prime concern. The government has also been claiming that Delhi’s growth rate has slowed down due to demonetisation.

State finance minister Manish Sisodia may increase tax collection target to Rs 25,000 crore in his budget proposal for 2016-17.

According to the economic survey, Delhi’s economic growth is estimated to slow down to 8.26% during 2016-17 from 8.82% the previous year.
