Cricketer-turned politician Kirti Azad’s wife Poonam will be joining Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on November 13, according to sources.

AAP Senior leader Sanjay Singh has reached Kirti Azad’s residence. An official statement on this might be made very soon.

Kirti Azad was suspended from BJP in 2015 for publicly targeting Finance Minister Arun Jaitley over corruption in the District Cricket Association (DDCA).

“It’s her decision. She is an independent woman and free to make her own choices. I have no right to comment on this since I am a suspended MP. Whatever she decides will be in the best interest of the nation,” Kirti Azad said.
