We Love Mamas: Erin Boyle

Mother’s Day is just one day per year, but we’re in the habit of celebrating amazing women + mothers all year long! So, this year, we’re dedicating the month of May to introducing you to some of the fierce women in the #GreenBeauty world who are juggling it all, littles in tow, and are great examples of real women, real moms, and real Love. First up, Erin Boyle! Author, writer, and blogger at Reading My Tea Leaves. We admire Erin for her honest approach to sustainable living, her ability to make us want to eat our vegetables, and the way she dives headfirst into the adventure of motherhood.

Meet this Pretty Mama:
Erin Boyle, Writer and lifestyle blogger of Reading My Tea Leaves – lifestyle blog celebrating a practical and purposeful approach to a simple, sustainable life.

Who you are in your professional life:
Author/Writer/Blogger

Who you are as a mom:
Parent to one spunky little sprite named Faye.

Your skin needs:
After a teenagehood spent being disappointed in my skin, I’ve come to embrace its quirks as I’ve gotten older. Mostly it needs to be left alone and treated gently but a daily hit of extra moisture and an occasional scrub help to keep it in pretty good shape.

What are your hobbies and talents?
I’m in the happy position of being able to parlay a lot of interests that might fall under the category of hobby into the work I do: tinkering around the house, embarking on DIY projects, experimenting with home remedies, musing about the state of the world, taking photographs. Work is still work, but having creative control over the content I produce means that I spend a lot of time doing things that I enjoy.

The one OLO product/or OLO ritual that you do for yourself. Why do you do it? How does it make you feel?
I’m such a sucker for the One Love Organics cleansing sponge. What a novel little thing! I love softening it up in the shower and giving my face a gentle once-over.

Why you believe in a beauty ritual/what it does for you:
I love the precious few minutes of time that a beauty ritual carves out of a day. I was never good at washing my face at night, for instance, but when I started thinking about the process as a special moment of self-care instead of a chore, my attitude shifted. Now I get excited about a nighttime cleanse. It makes me feel fancy.

We’d like to thank Erin for stopping by to tell us about her life as a Real Mom and for being part of the #GreenBeauty movement. Follow along with Erin via her blog, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.
