The Acting Chairman; Economic and Financial Crimes Commission; Ibrahim Magu, is in the news, again. Some weeks ago, the EFCC Boss established that the pandemic; coronavirus, is an off-shoot of corruption. This went viral on social media as Nigerians could not make any logical sense of the statement. What stirred its virality is that the EFFC boldly argued that its boss has not said anything of the sort. The commission further expressed this in a tweet against a media agency, asking them to put down a ‘derogatory’ statement’ about its boss.

Just today, however, we see Magu in the news, declaring that he did not mince words regarding his comment on coronavirus. In an interview conducted by AriseTV, he said:

Someone deliberately sat down and came up with the creation of coronavirus… A corrupt mind created it. I still insist that corruption is the cause of coronavirus.
