Any young man who gets on his knee to propose to a girl is not just an idiot, but a bloody fool. He’s a compound buffoon.
Such were the words of Nigerian Veteran Actor; Pete Edochie. The video has since gone viral with Nigerian Millennials attacking the actor for what they deem as opinionated. Apparently, the actor was asked on set about his views on men bending the knee during a proposal.
In justifying his stance, Pete Edochie makes reference to the contrast between the Nigerian-African Culture and Westernism. He attributes bending the knee to the Whites and further opines that the male gender hands the family over to his counterpart following the act. He further advised young men to be in charge of their destinies and not hand over their lives to women.
