Nigerian Lawmakers Ditch Innoson Vehicles For Exotic, Imported Cars

SOURCE: Amala

Nigerian Lawmakers at the National Assembly have reached a resolution regarding the choice of utility vehicles. Sometime ago, when the discourse was newly raised, there was a suggestion from one of the lawmakers on the choice to patronise locally-made brands. One of such; Innoson, was presented as an option to the lawmakers but the idea was soon shoved aside. Innoson vehicles is arguably the 1st made-in-Africa automobile brand with its manufacturing plant in Anambra state, Nigeria.

Following the lawmakers’ decision, they have resorted to adapt the Toyota Camry 2020 Model. Reports hold that 400 exotic cars of this species are intended to be procured. The price for each however, is not disclosed. Its 2019 variant costs between N26.75M and N35.75M. Ideally, the newer model is expected to be costlier.
