This is apparently good news; not just for fans and lovers of Olamide and YBNL, but for the Nigerian space. The YBNL Boss has joined the league of Nigerian superstars who are taking on the international scene. Olamide took to Twitter to break the exciting news to friends and foes: He had just signed a joint venture deal with EMPIRE Distribution; a recording company based in San Francisco.
In confirmation to Olamide’s tweet, EMPIRE reacted with photo evidence of the deal, congratulating the YBNL Boss and his ‘family’.
Over time, critics have argued that Olamide may not bag international recognition as his contemporaries have. Could this be because he raps in Yoruba? Anyway, probably upon realising this, he acknowledges the efforts of his fans in making this a reality:
Olamide delves further into revealing that he and Fireboy [apparently the only members of YBNL at the moment] are distinctly working on an album:
Fireboy on his end has reacted to the news, thanking his boss for the new direction:
Brace up, people! We’re about to experience a musical revolution!
