The Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers [NURTW]; MC Oluomo has addressed the transportation brouhaha in the state. Recall that the Lagos State Government; on 1 February 2020, fully implemented the Okada and Tricycle ban. In reaction to this, MC Oluomo has ‘temporarily’ allayed the fears of Lagosians. He mentioned that he is currently holding talks with the Lagos State Government to review the ban and restriction.

MC Oluomo and his team at NURTW also met with its members. This was to challenge the situation with bus drivers and their kleptomaniac attitude vis-a-vis the ban. In a press release by NURTW, it was stated that the body would not condone the hike in transportation fares by bus drivers; hence the rendezvous.

By and large, we do hope that MC Oluomo and his team reach a favourable conclusion with the Lagos State Government.
